Primark Nail Polish
I've had this collection of nail polishes for a while now, also purchased from Primark, probably way before Christmas, however I thought I'd include them as a second part to my previous Primark Nails post. This set is more of a dark coloured set, in comparison to the previous ones of pastels like colours. This collection is definitely more of a wintery selection of colours for you nails. This set was also £2, which isn't too bad, it may not be the best quality nail polish but for the price you get 4 lovely colours.

New Look Wishlist

1. Green Lace Stud Shoulder Lightweight Knit Jumper £17.99
This top is absolutely gorgeous, it comes in 2 other colours however this is the colour that caught my eye the most. A lovely muted olive green colour top with gorgeous studs along the shoulder and amazing lace detail above.

2. Nude Cut Out Wedge Shoe Boots £29.99
These aren't my usual pick of shoes, however I really like the wedge style thought they were gorgeous. I love how intricate the cut out detailing is and the colour is very pretty too.

3. Silver Triangle Spike Drop Necklace £5.99
This necklace is so lovely, I love the triangle and spike charms and the fact that it is a long necklace. Also, it is quite a statement piece that would look good with any outfit.

4. Navy Lace Back Vest £12.99
This navy vest is another thing that caught my eye as it can be worn both formally and casually. I don't own many navy vest or tops so I think this would look lovely as part of an outfit. Also, the lace detailing on the back is gorgeous, making it a lovely top for the summer.

5.Red Check Stud Collar Boyfriend Shirt £19.99
This is something I have been wanting for a while, however I am not 100% sure I could pull it off.  It features really nice bold colours but the main reason I like it is for the studded collar, which just adds that sparkle to the top.

6. Pink Stud Strap Satchel  £19.99
Now, this bag is something I would definitely not be brave enough to use out and about, but it was just too cute and lovely not to feature in my wishlist. The bag itself is a lovely smart satchel, but what made me look at is was the vibrant bold pink colour that I thought was so pretty and cute. Definitely a summer bag!

7. Silver and Blue Enamel Eagle Chain Collar Tips £4.99
This is another item I wouldn't usually look at or even think of buying, however I think the idea of these is very cool and quirky and would defo just add a sense fun to a shirt.

8. Dark Red Boxy T-Shirt £6.99
This probably isn't the most interesting top, however I really like the colour and the style of the top, and its just nice to have something to throw on when your just having a nice relaxing chilled day.

9. Kelly Brook Harbour Island Lip Gloss Wand £2.99
Lastly, is this gorgeous colour lip gloss from the Kelly Brook beauty collection. Lip gloss isn't something I actually wear as I'm more into balms and lipsticks, however this caught my eye. It comes in a lovely small cute bottle and its the colour that sold it to me, a gorgeous nudey pink with a hint of corally orange.

What are your favourite pieces from my wishlist?

Primark Nail Polish

Whilst browsing in Primark recently, along with all the make-up and beauty products, I came across this 4 pack of nail polishes in nude and pastel colours, similar to the shades I featured in my Topshop Nails blog post. I know a lot of people have said that the Primark nail polishes aren't the best quality, however for only £2 and having a nice selection of colours, I was daring to give it a go! (P.s. Excuse my nails, I painted them in a rush whilst creating this blog)

Shorts
From Left to Right, Top to Bottom

I've decided to create a blog post every Friday, showing you some of my favourite pieces of clothing, not always something I would buy, but pieces that I think would look amazing in an outfit, from a variety of websites and online retailers. Each week I will post my favourites on a different item of clothing. This week I have chosen shorts to get us in the summery mood with all this cold, nasty weather we have at the moment!

1.River Island Red studded chain denim short hot pants £45.00
I know these have quite a hefty price tag and may not be something I would buy, I just thought they were a lovely pair of shorts, with a gorgeous colour and amazing detailing. The lovely chain and spiked detail can add a slight grungey element to any outfit, which can allow you to wear them both casually and formally.

2. New Look bambam Neon Aztec Print Shorts £44.99
Along with the River Island shorts, these also have an expensive price tag, but I wanted to feature them because I absolutely love the pattern on the shorts. The funky bright embroided pattern is very detailed and gives the shorts quite a summery feel. The aztec pattern feature big bold colours which will make you stand out in the crowd!

3. H+M Denim Shorts £19.99
These are just a simple pair of light denim shorts, that I personally think will go with anything in the summer. There just a simple casual plain pair of shorts that will look good with any outfit, dressed up or dressed down, even on the beach with a cute crop top! For just under £20, I think that these are good value and will be something you would get a lot of use of of, if the weather is nice!

4. MOTO Wide Stripe Denim Hotpants £30.00
These monochrome shorts from Topshop are also something that can be styled up or down, making them quite a versatile piece of clothing. The vertical black and white stripes make them quite a bold, statement pair of shorts, which will make any outfit!

Which pair are your favourites?

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Shade 16

Rimmel Lipstick 16

After using my other two Kate Moss Rimmel London Lipsticks, shades 08 and 05, and absolutely loving the colours and how they apply, I decided to purchase a new one, shade 16. Shade 16 is a gorgeous peachy coral light pink colour that is slightly nude but I really love. Its bright colour yet subtle enough for daytime wear, and I think it will be a gorgeous summer lip colour. One thing that I love about the Kate Moss lipsticks, is the actual smell of the lipstick which unlike other lipsticks that don't really have a nice smell, shade 16 really does smell like watermelons, which is delicious. I really like the way that the lipstick applies to the lips and the finish that it creates. These lipsticks are super bright, glide over the lips well and giving full coverage after a few swipes, well pigmented and long lasting.  Their texture is slightly waxy but is also mildly moisturising, which is unusual for such bright lipsticks.

Rimmel Lipstick 16Rimmel Lipstick 16

They are priced at £5.49, which I don't think is very expensive for a lipstick, for me personally I think is amazing value for what you get. The Kate Moss collection has a vast variety of colours from light to dark and bold to subtle, which can give you a choice of lip colour perfect for any occasion. I would definitely purchase more shades from this range, as what I have used already I have really loved.

2. I love... Coconut and Cream Bubble Bath and Shower Creme 500ml
3. I love... Raspberry and Blackberry Bubble Bath and Shower Creme 500ml
4. I love... Strawberry Milkshake Bubble Bath and Shower Creme 500ml
5. I love... Lemon and Lime Moisturising Body Lotion 250ml
This is something that I hadn't seen before in Superdrug, until I stumbled upon it on the website, where there was a vast range of items from this range to choose from. I decided upon 3 Bubble Baths/Shower Cremes, 1 Body Lotion and 1 Body Butter. When I saw them, I thought the flavours used in each product were so lovely, that I couldn't wait to get my hands on them.
I love...Coconut and Cream Body Butter
"Escape to paradise; an exotic explosion as my tropical cocktail of sweet coconut and velvety cream aromas leave you drifting away to your very own idyllic beach hideaway"

Nourishing Body Butter From there range of body butters, I chose the "Coconut + Cream" one, as a fan of the coconut scent, I just had to purchase. As soon as I opened the lid, I was blown away by the gorgeous sweet coconut scent, that I absolutely love! The body butter also has coconut oil and shea butter that is really good for the skin. Using this as a moisturizer for my arms and legs, it applies really easily and smoothly and sinks into the skin nicely, leaves them silky soft and smelly yummy!

These body butters come in a 200ml tub, in a range of flavours, including: "Coconut + Cream, "Strawberries + Milkshake! and "Mango + Papaya", similar to there bubble bath products. These also RRP at £2.05, and are also included in the special offer.

I love...Coconut+ Cream Bubble Bath and Shower Creme
"Escape to paradise; an exotic explosion as my tropical cocktail of sweet coconut and velvety cream aromas leave you drifting away to your very own idyllic beach hideaway!"

I love...Raspberry + Blackberry Bubble Bath and Shower Creme
"Super juicy and bursting with life; feel exhilarated as my delicious aroma of freshly squeezed raspberries and succulent blackberries infuse to create a fragrance sensation so fruity, I could be one of your five-a-day."

I love...Strawberries + Milkshake Bubble Bath and Shower Creme
"Fall in love again; there's something about this super smoothness of my thick creamy aroma, united with a burst of fresh strawberries, that leaves you senses elate and your tastebuds-a-tingling!"

Bubble Baths/Shower Cremes - "Coconut + Cream"- a beautiful coconut creme that smells amazing and reminds me of Malibu, "Raspberry + Blackberry" - a very fruity berry scent  and "Strawberries + Milkshake"- a creamy strawberry scent that really does smell like milkshake, each come in a 500ml bottle. The sounds of these just made my mouth water and I had to try them! These normally RRP at £2.05, which I think is a very reasonable price, however at the moment, this collection is on a special off with 2 for £2.99, which is great! When squeezing some into the bath, it releases its amazing scent and creates loads of bubbles, allowing you to have a calming and relaxing bath, letting you wind down and de-stress. The scents of each of these cremes is absolutely gorgeous, and if they were edible, I'd definitely be giving them a try!

Also available in "Tropical Paradise" and "Mango + Papaya", which I shall definitely try when I have finished with these ones!

I love...Lemon and Lime Body Lotion
" Flash, bang, wallop, its time to blow your mind! Feel exhilarated as my sparkling accords of zesty fresh lemon entwine with zingy lime to leave your senses super charged and revitalized. Go on... the zest is yet to come! "

Moisturising Body Lotion - With this product, I wanted to try a flavour that I hadn't already tried from the range, so i opted for the "Lemon + Lime" Body Lotion. I thought it would be a lovely combination to try, as it made me think of quite a zesty, sharp and fruity scent - something I like. It comes in a pump like bottle that is very handy, and from the first pump, I was in love. The scent of this lotion is to die for, very fruity and zingy and reminded me of a sweet sherbet smell. It sinks into the skin really nicely and doesn't take long to try, leaving your skin hydrated and moisturised.

This product comes in 3 varieties; "Lemon + Lime", "Mango + Papaya" and "Blueberry + Smoothie", and were also £2.05, however not included in the offer.

This collection also has another couple of products which I haven't purchased this time, including Shower Gels, Lip Balms, Super Soft Hand Lotions and Shower Smoothies, which come in the same flavours, as well as a few others, which is something I would probably purchase ones I'm done with these ones.

Have you tried anything from this range before?

So, this isn't going to be a typical blog post on things I have bought, product reviews or things I want to recommend to others, its a slightly different style of blog. I was browsing online on the Topshop website and wanted to blog about different nail polishes that I liked, as Topshop have a vast colour range, with some absolutely gorgeous colours. Due to so many colour choices, I decided to choose my 5 most favourite pastel shades and bright shades, and share them with you. The majority of the colours I have chosen are quite summery colours, which I think look stunning, and even though I don't personally wear nail polish regularly, I would definitely wear some of these shades.

A Guide To Relaxation

19:56 Laura Thornberry 3 Comments

Relaxation Guide

What is relaxation?
1. The state of being free from tension and anxiety.
2. Recreation or rest, esp. after a period of work.

Why is it important?
Relaxation is a very important part of our lives and is something that everyone should be able to do. Being able to relax allows ourselves and our bodies to work in a more efficient and positive way. The idea of relaxation is important to us as it can stop stress: from things such as work/exams, family/friend/relationship issues and money, to name a few. It also can help relieve tension and anxiety and allows us to have time alone to think and clear your mind, which can make you feel happier and more positive, which brings less worry, more confidence!

How can you relax? What ways are there?
There are many ways in which we can relax, some people may choose certain techniques over others, as we are all different, and deal with certain issues in different ways. Some ways in which we can relax are as follows...

1. Breathing Techniques -Steady breathing allows you to alleviate tension and stress, also enables us to calm down and forget about any worries we may have.

2. Exercise -  Activities such as yoga and swimming is also a way in which we can let our bodies relax and de-stress. Stretching muscles can help relieve tension in the body, which helps our bodies work better, keeping us healthy.

3. Meditation - Meditation allows us to clear our mind of any worries and stresses, and focus on moving towards a more positive state of mind, and is a good way of relaxing. Through this, meditation is a very useful relaxation technique letting your body be able able to rest and feel calm.

4. Massage - Having a massage is another way in which we can feel calm and relaxed. This process allows all tensions, aches and strains to be removed from the body, in order for us to feel better.

5. Music -  Music can be used as an effective relaxation and stress management tool. Music can promote relaxation of tense muscles, enabling you to easily release some of the tension you carry from a stressful day. Listening to certain kinds of music allows us to feel calm and peaceful, allowing you to feel more optimistic and positive.

6. Environment - The surrounding environment plays a huge factor in being able to relax and feeling calm, somewhere quiet and comfortable with no distractions warm not too hot or cold is perfect for this.

7. Indulge in a Hot Bath - A warm bath helps to loosen up muscles, so its a great way to feel pampered and relaxed without really doing a lot, as well it will also take any tension away from your body.

8 - Clear your mind Set aside time to relax each day. Some people prefer to relax right before bed to help fall asleep. Others relax first thing in the morning to start the day refreshed and revitalized.

How do you relax? Do you follow anything I have mentioned? Do you have any other suggestions?

Rimmel 1000 Kisses
Whilst out and about shopping, I ended up browsing in Superdrug and I stumbled upon the Rimmel '1000 Kisses Lip Tint'. Now, before this I have never used a lip tint, as I always seem to reach for a lip stick, however when I did try out this product, I was surprised. There are a variety of shades within this collection, but the shade I picked up was 120 Timeless Tango, quite a bold pink colour, with hints of orangey red. When you open the lid, you'll notice the beautiful scent these have, something of a fruity and sweet scent, which is really nice. I find that the lip tints are quite pigmented due, which helps build the colour, however, due to this I see them more of a lip stain than a lip tint.

Rimmel 1000 KissesRimmel 1000 Kisses
The way the product is applied is very different from a lipstick, a kind of pen that you apply to your lips, creating the outline of your lips first, then colour the rest in, then applying the moisture balm to lock in the vibrant colour. To add moisture and a shine to your lips, I would suggest you wait for the colour to completely dry before applying the balm, as this helps lock in the colour better. The pen applicator is great for precise, clean application, however, I would definitely advise having a mirror handy, without one it can get messy and lips can get smudged! Although this does seem like quite a laborious task to carry out, just to add some colour and moisture to your lips. They are very easy to apply, and feel comfortable on the lips and don't dry them out, which is good. The only downside I have found is that they aren't that long lasting, without the need to re-apply some more of the colour.

Review - Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf

18:22 Laura Thornberry 2 Comments

Flowerbomb Perfume
Viktor & Rolf’s first fragrance ‘Flowerbomb was something I wanted to find out a bit more about what it was like as I hadn't ever smelt the scent, until I recently managed to get a free sample of the perfume online. When I received it in the post, I wasn't too sure if I was going to like it or not after the first spray of it.
Flowerbomb Perfume

The fragrance itself is very feminine, sensual and pretty all at the same time, although very floral and not too overpowering, it is quite sweet, which is something I tend not to wear, however I think this perfume maybe something suited more to the summer. There is something about this perfume however; although it's quite sweet, it's not sickly but quite refreshing with hints of floral, which I do like about it. Its definitely not a strong scent, as I to tend to prefer a stronger perfume- but it does have a good lasting power and it must be one that lingers lightly on the skin. Maybe the sample size sprays don't give off the scent to its fullest, which could be a downside to only trying a sample, however it is such an expensive perfume so I'm not 100% sure I can justify spending on it if I'm not fully in love with it. The packaging itself is very eye catching and modern, which looks very cute and pretty, that does draw you towards the product. I also think it helps to advertise the quite girly, sensual and feminine scent using a pastel baby pink and black, which mirrors the fragrance of the perfume. Although not 100% on whether this perfume does suit me at all, I would try it again, as the floral scent is something I do really like. I think if I was to get this perfume, I may either go into a store and try it from the tester bottles, purchase the smallest size bottle or ask for it as a gift for Birthday/Christmas, this way I wont be as disappointed if I don't entirely like it.

Have you tried out Flowerbomb? What are your thoughts?

Rihanna PerfumeRihanna Perfume

This perfume by Rihanna is something I received for Christmas and have absolutely loved it since, to the point its nearly all gone! OOOPS! Oh well before I even start talking about the scent of the fragrance, the bottle itself is absolutely stunning! With an unusual style bottle shape and a black design around the glass bottle really gives it an interesting, elegant feel with a slight edgy look that I really like. It also makes it very appealing to the eye and with the gold ring style feature on the top, really does top it off and give it quite a sexy touch.
This is the first fragrance from Rihanna - Reb'l Fleur is a girly, sexy and daring fragrance. The scent is very feminine, not too overpowering but very sweet and floral and what makes it better is that it does last all day! Something that not all perfumes do, so this is definitely a good one! Its also perfect to wear either as an everyday scent or just for special occasions. It has a strong fruity  start, but after a few hours on the skin it mellows to a lovely soft and warm floral with a hint of vanilla, which does smell really gorgeous. I'm never really a big fan of strong perfumes as sometimes I feel they can be too overpowering, yet this one is something I fell in love with since using it, and its something I would purchase again and recommend to anyone who is looking to try out something new, it's a lovely scent and very affordable - which for a celebrity perfume is another plus!

Have you tried this perfume by Rihanna? What are your thoughts?

Review - Aussie 3 Minute Miracle

Aussie Hair TreatmentAussie Hair Treatment

I've been using Aussie hair products for a number of years now as I feel they leave my hair looking amazing, super soft and amazingly shiny. The current shampoo I'm using is the "Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo" which I absolutely love! Whilst browsing online, I stumbled across a free sample of Aussie 3 minute miracle deep treatment, something I haven't used in the past and wanted to give a go to help boost the condition of my hair.

I have long blonde hair, that can sometimes not be in the best condition, mainly due to a lot of blow-drying and straightening, which can cause hair breakage and split ends. When I used this, I noticed it has a really lovely coconut scent that really lasts in your hair and gives you immediate results, as my hair was noticeably softer and smoother after blow-drying! I also felt that this treatment left my hair feeling stronger, healthier and almost a bit thicker, which is definitely a plus!

A sample of a product is always a plus, as you don't have to purchase the full product to either be amazed or let down by it. In this case, I think this is something I would definitely buy in the future, after the results of just one use and I'd also recommend this to others, who want healthy soft and silky hair. Another factor which also would make me purchase this, is the fact it isn't too expensive, and for the results I noticed from a first use, I feel it would definitely be worth it!

Miss Cole Long Weekend Gift Set

Miss Cole Gift
I don't usually venture into Tk Maxx very often, however over the Christmas and New Year period I went in a few times just to have a look around to see what sort of things you could get. From reading other blogs and YouTube videos from others who are also interested in fashion and beauty etc, I was made aware of the types of beauty products I could find in store. I just went for a browse today when I stumbled across this cute little gift set- "The Long Weekend" by Miss Cole, a brand I haven't really heard about, but decided to try it out. I think what made me purchase this was the packaging to be honest, it was the only product that really caught my eye along the beauty stands.

Miss Cole Gift
As I previously said, the packaging is what swayed me towards buying this, which in some cases isn't always the best thing to do, but for the price this was, I thought I'd give it a go! Originally marked up as the RRP of £11.99, this was reduced to £5.99, which for a set of 4 different skin care products, I thought it was a pretty good deal, especially for something I've never tried before, so if i don't like it, at least its not breaking the bank!  However, I'm going to try it out and see what I think of it, and possibly review it at a further date!

Miss Cole Gift
This gift set contains the following items...

1. Urban Survival Body Wash 100ml
"Give your skin a shot of powerful pampering, feel fabulous in a flash and ready to face the day. For an early morning wake u call, leave in the fridge overnight before use."
2. Radiance Reviver Body Scrub 100ml
"Guaranteed  to leave your skin in a state of pampered perfection. Massage gently onto your skin, paying attention to rough areas like elbows and knees, then rinse off."
3. High Performance Bath Soak 100ml
"In case of exhaustion: 1. Run Bath, 2. Relax in the bubbles, 3. Let go of stress, 4. Feel fabulous."
4.Skin Perfecting Body Cream 100ml
"In case of emergency, apply generously and await compliments. Rub this moisturising cream into skin after bathing, for delicate scented, smooth skin."

Have you tried this before?
