Style Icon - Pixie Lott

I've chosen Pixie Lott as one of my style icons as her style is very unique, a mixture of retro and modern combined with quite a vintage girly tastes. The outfits she wears are very cute and feminine with a hint of coolness and quirkiness that just really stands out for me and that's why I love what she wears. I really admire her fashion style, her quite simple yet edgy make up, combined with her cute little dresses, bold printed outfits and always having her gorgeous legs on show, how can anyone NOT be jealous of her!

My Pixie Lott Inspired Outfit

The look that I've gone for, inspired by Pixie Lott, is quite a vintage, simple yet girly outfit. I've teamed up a gorgeous monochrome striped top with lace effect shoulder detail with a lovely pair of brown vintage high-waisted checkered shorts with gorgeous button detail. Then completed the outfit with some simple studded ballet pumps, a pretty feminine heart sharped necklace and a beautiful black quilted shoulder bag. I definitely think this is a very spring/summery outfit, that would look lovely during the daytime or even for an evening out.

I bought these shorts a couple of years ago, and haven't really styled them with any outfits before as I was never really that brave and didn't think I could pull them off. They were originally from Primark, however I purchased them off Ebay for only £2.99, which I think is a bargain! What I really loved about these is the amazingly gorgeous detailing on the buttons, that really give them that retro and quirky touch. They look a lot more expensive too retro and vintage for the sorts of items you would find it Primark, which is why I think they definitely suit Pixie Lott's Style.

These are just a simple yet gorgeous pair of ballet pumps I picked up in Primark not so long ago, for around about £8, which I think isn't too bad. I really love the quilted effect on the shoe and the little silver studs/beads really bring such a girly and cute vibe.

Another simple piece of jewellery here, a gorgeous silver 3D heart shaped pendant on a long silver chain. I really love the detailing on the heart as its so pretty and intricate. I bought this necklace from H+M for around about £2, which for such a nice cute necklace, is really cheap!

The whole monochrome style is something that keeps popping up in the fashion world, so I styled my outfit with this lovely striped top, which I picked up from River Island last summer in the sale for £8. What I really loved about this top is the gorgeous lace effect detailing on the shoulders that really give this top a very pretty and feminine touch. It has a lovely length sleeve that comes above the elbow which I really like.

Finally to finish off my outfit, is a simple black quilted shoulder bag, with a long black strap. This bag I picked up in Primark that was originally priced at £8, but when I bought it, it was reduced to £3, so I just had to get my hands on it!

Do you like Pixie Lott's style? What do you think of the outfit?
