I'm Georgia, a new blogger over at Mapped Out. I have a bit of an addiction for shopping which is one of the reasons I started my blog- to share all of my lovely purchases! I'm a sucker for a good bargain. I'm so grateful to Laura for letting me do a blog post, especially as I've only recently started blogging. I hope you enjoy my post on Tartan, my new favourite print!

As you probably already know, tartan is in this season. So I have picked out a few of my favourites pieces from various high street shops. I know at first tartan can be a bit daunting to wear, but if you wear it with the right things then all will be fine! For those of you that are looking for something a little more understated, then tartan in shades of green would probably be best. However if you want something a bit more out there, then definitely go for the red! Most of the pieces I have picked out are quite subtle such as the leggings, dress, top and coat but if you want to go for something bolder then the skort is perfect.

With tartan I think you have to be careful not to over do it. For example you wouldn’t want to wear the skort with a patterned top. A simple plain black top would go nicely. The leggings would go really well with an oversized top and cutout ankle boots. Or if you are just looking to accessorise an outfit with a bit of colour then why not go for collar pins or a hair bow? It’s a simple way to transform an outfit by adding just a hint of tartan!

And I don’t know about you but I think tartan is quite Xmassy!

    1. I agree! the satchel is such a gorgeous piece! especially if you're not brave enough for a tartan piece of clothing, this adds the trend subtly into your wardrobe!
