Springtime Stunners

With the weather getting that little bit warmer and the spring season coming into blossom, it’s time to dig out those pretty dresses and ditch the warm jumpers and woolly tights! The sun is starting to shine and it's nearly time to get them legs out, and what better way than with a gorgeous dress! I've had a little browse at 3 top high street shops and this post will show you my favourites and how I would style them! I've tried to keep all the dresses very different and versatile, so you can wear them in the day or night!

New Look have been getting it oh so right at the moment, and they had such a lovely variety of dresses to choose from, this was a toughie, but what I have chosen I think are perfect for spring!

Firstly, this gorgeous pastel blue skater dress is just a simple yet stylish wardrobe staple, that you can style up or down and still look stunning. What says springtime more than pastels? For a casual daytime look, I would style this with a simple white cardigan and a pair of black sandals/pumps, as well as a girly little necklace. For a more dressed up evening look, a black blazer is a must! This gives the dress a more classy and sophisticated vibe, teamed with some heels or wedges for that added height, finished of with a chunky statement necklace!

Secondly from New Look, is this simple yet statement monochrome Spot Print Dress. Monochrome is such a timeless trend, meaning this dress with always be on-trend and perfect all year round! For a daytime look, I would team this cute dress with a pair of trainers to add that casual vibe to the outfit! For a more evening appropriate outfit, I would team with a leather jacket, some wedges and a bold red lip!

Next up we have some gorgeous pieces from Topshop! From time to time, Topshop can be a little hit and miss depending on your personal style, but what I have found are pieces that would suit any occasion!

Firstly, can we just admire how damn pretty and perfect this first dress is! Yes it is a little 'out there' and bold, but I think styled in the right way, you could be on to a winner! The small cut outs on the sides show off that perfect amount of flesh without being too revealing. For a casual look, I would simply team this dress with a simple pair of flats too keep that girly, pretty vibe to the outfit. Dressing it up with a chunky pair of cut out boots and a sparkly silver necklace would be the perfect partnership for this vibrant piece!

Then we have this simple black bodycon. Everyone needs a LBD in there wardrobe and I think this could be a perfect work dress as well as a casual/formal piece. Bodycon's don't always suit every body shape/size, but if they're something you like, a black one is a definite! For a daytime work/casual look, I would simply team this up with a pair of pretty colour flats/sandals for a more relaxed vibe, maybe finished with a nude pink or peachy lip. For a dressed up vibe, I would choose a pair of coloured or printed heels, a red bold lip and a statement jacket!

Finally, I've chosen a couple of pieces from River Island. I don't often shop in River Island, but whilst browsing the website, you do often come across a couple of gems and I think these 2 dresses are perfect.

Firstly is this monochrome Checked Print Dress which I think is absolutely stunning. Checks is currently on trend so this would be a perfect staple to embrace the print. The t-shirt fit makes the dress slightly loose and baggy, perfect for those who don't feel comfortable and confident in tight, fitted frocks. I think this dress would look great in the day with a pair of converse or vans, for that casual springtime look. Then an evening outfit would consist of a pair of bold coloured wedges/chunky boots and a chunky statement necklace to add the sparkle!

Secondly is this very girly and bright Pink T-shirt Dress, which is just a gorgeous shade for the spring/summer. This dress is definitely for the girly girl and those who want to stand out in the crowd! For a daytime look, I would team this with a simple pair of sandals or flats and a plain cardigan, so you can let the dress do the talking! For an evening look, you could take this dress in so many directions, but I think a pair of black heels, a statement necklace and a black blazer, and you're sure to be the centre of attention!

So whatever your style, trend or colour preferences, hopefully you have found something in this post that you would absolutely love to rock this springtime! I've tried to vary the colours, shapes and fits of the dresses, to make this post useful to a wider range of people.

Which dress is your favourite? How would you style it? Where do you normally shop on the high street?
