Review - AreaH2O Haircare*

After winning a Twitter competition recently, my goodies were this AreaH20 Duo Haircare Pack*, containing a hard water shampoo and conditioner made for normal/fine hair. If you haven't heard of AreaH20 before, they are an effective and highly research brand whose haircare products are something that works with the water type in your hair, which in time helps to create cleaner and more manageable hair for you.

"Area H2O Hard Water Shampoo (250ml) and Conditioner (200ml) Duo is revolutionary. Scientifically formulated by biochemists it works to combat the effects of mineral deposits on hair in hard water areas.

Water is categorised into three types, Hard, Medium and Soft. The more minerals water contains the 'harder' it becomes. As water becomes 'harder' it also becomes more damaging for our hair as it binds tiny limescale molecules to the lengths, soft water however can cause hair to become slippery and unmanageable.

Different water types affect hair in different ways. Area H20 Hard Water Shampoo – Normal Hair (250ml) is designed to act as a magnet, attracting mineral ions, allowing you to wash them away easily. This means your hair will look and feel noticeably cleaner, smoother and shinier."

After identifying your water type and receiving the correct products, these cleanse the hair of any nasty toxins and help to improve the condition of your hair, which is great! After using these for the first time, the very next day after they arrived, I was amazed with the results. My hair felt so light and bouncy, looked super sleek and soft and just felt really well cleansed. I was pleasantly surprised!

Have you heard of AreaH20 before? Would this be something you would be interested in trying?

£1 Heat Defence?

I don't know about you, but whenever I take a trip into town to do some shopping, I always find myself in Poundland, as I have been made aware of so many beauty must haves, and for just £1, they need to be tested out!

On my latest trip, I picked up this little gem, Argan Oil Heat Defence Spray with Moroccan Oil Extract. As a lover of all things haircare, this was something I was super happy to try out and see how it compared to my beloved TRESemme Heat Defence which I have been using for years, and so far I am impressed as this to me is just as good.

With having long hair, I do my best to keep it in the best condition and looking healthy, so I have used so many hair products in the past that I know what works well for me, and this heat defence is something that I have really been loving. I simply spritz this evenly through towel dried hair before blow drying and straightening and I know my hair will be protected. The spray pump makes this so easy to apply and makes sure you get all your hair covered. It has a special formula that helps prevent damage and breakage from using heat tools which is a must have for me, plus the added oil helps to leave your hair feeling silky and soft, and if definitely does that! The only thing that I am a bit love/hate with is the smell, it is slightly strong but not too overpowering, just smells like a salon shampoo.

So if you find yourself browsing Poundland any times soon, I would definitely recommend checking out the beauty aisles as you never know what gems you will come across. If you're looking for a new heat defence, then I would definitely tell you all to go and grab a bottle of this, as for only a quid, IT WORKS!

Have you used this heat defence spray before? Have you picked up any bargains in Poundland recently?

Haircare by Richard Ward*

A while back I was contacted on Twitter with the opportunity to review some haircare products from Richard Ward, a celebrity hairdresser with a new range of innovative hair care – The Chelsea Collection – exclusively at Waitrose. So as a lover of all things haircare, I jumped at the chance of this; as anything with keratin is great for the hair and something that promises volume is a win win for me!

I always mix up my haircare routine, as I feel using the same products isn't too great for your hair as the product builds up and your hair will get used to the products, therefore each wash you wont get the desired effect. Alongside my Aussie products, I was using these Richard Ward products and I was very happy with the results that I got from these.

Both the shampoo and conditioner smell very lovely, really fruity and floral, not too overpowering like some salon products can be. The shampoo lathers up really well and really makes your hair feel clean after the very first wash. The conditioner on the other hand was slightly weird, not in a bad way, just a very strange consistency that I found quite difficult to squeeze out the bottle. However, once applied to the hair and rinsed out, my hair was left looking shiny and silky and feeling light and bouncy.

Overall, after using these two products for a couple of months now, I am really impressed with how they work for my hair and how my hair looks after using them. My hair is left feeling super clean, bouncy, healthy and slightly voluminsed, which is something I always look for when using haircare products! So if you're looking to try out some new haircare, I would definitely recommend these!

Have you tried any haircare by Richard Ward? What are your current favourite hair products?

OOTD - On A Rainy Day

As most of us are aware, weather in England can chop and change all the time, so this outfit is a perfect combination for the ever changing weather. This outfit is just a simple, everyday kinda casual look, that I think would suit any size or shape body.

This Topshop coat seems to be an everyday staple for me at the moment when I'm wanting something a little warmer than my leather jacket. I love oversized jumpers and this cable knit one is so comfortable and cosy, even if I did buy it a couple of sizes bigger than my usual!

Khaki Lightweight Jacket - Topshop
Grey/White Cable Knit Jumper - New Look
Black Disco Leggings - Ebay
Burgundy Vans - Very
Rose Gold Midi Rings - Primark
Lips - Topshop's Wave Goodbye Lip Crayon

What do you think of the outfit I have put together? Where would you wear this? What is your favourite item?

On our final day in Italy, we stopped off at an amazing little cafe to have breakfast, and my god those croissants were amazing! My brother then opted to have some pizza, which was actually rather delicious! We made our way to a local park for a little walk around, and just to enjoy the lovely weather! The final picture is some lovely artwork that I found which I think is completely amazing!

After spending a couple of days in the mountains, we made our way back to my sisters, stopping off at Lake Maggiore, one of Italy's biggest lakes. The scenery here was just spectacular! Where we had a boat tour of the lake and stopped off at a little island, Isola Superiore, and had a wander about. The island had a little market and a few souvenir shops, which were all really cute. The views of the lake from the island were just so stunning, it just had to be photographed!

Followed by dinner at a lovely little pizzeria, I had a pizza with Parma ham, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and parmasan, because what Italian holiday can be done without a delicious pizza!
