So if you weren't aware, I went away to Italy at the end of March for 6 days, to visit my sister who lives over there, and it was absolutely incredible! With only a short visit, we packed in a hell of a lot and I had such an amazing time, that I wanted to share with you a handful of photo's from my trip! I'd never visited Italy before, but after this little trip, its definitely somewhere I would love to go again as there is so much to see and do!

The following photos are from the first few days of my trip. When I arrived in Milan on the Thursday, we landed at around 4pm local time, so we were picked up and headed over to my sisters place, who lives in a little town named Gorla Minore. In the evening, we went out for an aperitivo, where you can pick a drink to have, while you are served various little dishes from gnocchi, sandwiches, Italian meats, crisps, cheeses, pizzas etc. I went for a mojito, and my god was it lovely!

During my trip, I also got to visit Milan itself, which was absolutely lovely. It's so nice to be able to see such a different atmosphere compared to London, and it was an incredible place to go. Whilst in Milan, we visited the Duomo di Milano, which is the cathedral church for Milan and is the 5th largest in the world, taking six centuries to finish! The architecture of this building was absolutely stunning and you could have spent all day just looking at the place. After visiting the Duomo, we headed to have a spot of lunch, which I forgot to photograph, but I had a lovely mussel and tomato pasta for starters, followed by some lovely Fish, Chips and Salad. Delicious!

After lunch, we headed over to Sforza Castle, which was built in the 15th century by the Duke of Milan. There are a number of museums and exhibits throughout the castle, which was really lovely to see, as it houses several of the city's museums and art collections.
