Today I have a first impressions review of some skin care samples that I kindly received via Senzimi.  If you haven't heard about Senzimi, here's a little information.
Senzimi Skincare
They are unisex skin care company whose products are targeted towards those with dry, irritated or sensitive skin. The range of products they have to offer have between 90 – 99% natural ingredients, that can be used as part of a skin and scalp cleansing, nourishing and protection routine. There brand focuses on giving sufferers the opportunity to have a daily skin and hair care routine, using products on their skin that won’t further irritate it.
Senzimi Skincare
So lets go into what products they have to offer and what they help with. Senzimi currently offer a range of 4 products in there naturals collection; a cleanser, a moisturiser, a shampoo and a conditioner, perfect for those with allergies, dryness or irritation of the skin or scalp.
  • Senzimi Cleanser* - "This luxurious, effective yet mild cleansing cream has been formulated especially for people with dry, sensitive and troublesome skin. This is a 95% natural product that combines excellent mild cleansing action and usability with superior conditioning, soothing and healing power, so your skin not only looks great, but also feels great."
  • Senzimi Moisturiser* - "This light and easily absorbed natural moisturiser has been formulated especially for people with dry, sensitive and troublesome skin. This is a product that really works for you. Containing some of the best natural active ingredients available on the market today, and also having a pH that matches that of the skin means it will work in synergy with your skin."
  • Senzimi Shampoo - "This mild sulphate free shampoo is ideal for people with dry and sensitive scalps and damaged normal to thick weight of hair. This is a 95.47% natural product that combines excellent cleansing action and usability without irritating your scalp."
  • Senzimi Conditioner* - "This rich yet mild 90.45% natural conditioner has been formulated with three functions in mind. Firstly to repair and strengthen damaged hair, secondly to condition and improve the appearance and feel of hair, leaving you to style and colour as you wish, and thirdly to condition, protect, soothe and heal sensitive scalp."Senzimi Skincare
The product samples I kindly got sent from Senzimi were there cleanser, moisturiser and conditioner, all of which I have tried and tested and feel I can give a good enough review of each!
  • The Senzimi cleanser* was probably my favourite out of the samples I have received and I have really enjoyed using it as part of my everyday skin care routine. The cleanser contains soothing aloe, chamomile and jojoba which are all natural products that help keep the skin looking soft and plump. I used this cleanser after I had taken off all my make up with a micellar water, smooth it all over my face and removed with warm water, to make sure my skin was totally free of make up and removed all the dirt. From my first use of this product, I felt like my skin was left so soft and smooth, as well as glowing and definitely helped to soothe my skin of any redness! Also, this product helps to cleanse clogged pores of oil and dead skin cells, and helps restore the skin’s natural pH balance!
  • The Senzimi moisturiser* was also a nice product to use, combined with the cleanser, it does work quite well. This moisturiser is packed full of gorgeous natural ingredients such as Cucumber Extract, Aloe Vera, Rosehip Oil, Argan Oil and Oat Extract which all contribute into cooling, healing and hydrating the skin, which is perfect for those with sensitive skin! After using this product a few times, I had noticed a difference in my skin, leaving it smooth, soft, shiny and revitalized which was lovely to see! This moisturiser sinks into the skin really quickly and feels really cooling upon the skin, whilst leaving no greasy or oily residue!
  • Finally, the Senzimi conditioner*, a lovely product for the hair, I wouldn't say that I have a dry or irritated scalp, but I did like using this product a lot. This conditioner definitely helps to strengthen my hair as well as protect and soothe the scalp, and leaves it looking and feeling lovely! This conditioner includes Vitamin B12 and Wheat proteins that are beneficial for repairing dry and damaged hair, as well as improving the appearance and feel of hair, which it certainly did!
Have you heard of Senzimi before? Do you like natural skin care products? Is this something you would like to test out?

Today's blog post shall be sharing with you my "go to" lip products that I shall be using this Autumn/Winter. When thinking about what lip sticks and lacquers I have bought to use at this time of year, I was amazed that all the products I am featuring today have been from Rimmel! For the Autumn/Winter time, I usually tend to head towards either a really bold red/berry lip or a nude colour (which I wear all year round anyway), so I have included a mix and match of colours that I think would suit the majority of skin tones.
Drugstore Lipstick Swatches
I have swatched all of the lip products above, and as you can see, they are all highly pigmented and have a full coverage with just one swipe. I find all Rimmel products I have used before, they have been very pigmented and easy to apply, as well as being very affordable and a variety of shades! Most of these products I have previously reviewed, so I shall leave the link to them, so you can go and have a peak at what I think.

Today, I have the opportunity to share with you all a fragrance that is very unique, and something I hadn't heard of before, which made me want to read up on what Molecule 01 actually is.
Molecule 01

"Molecule 01 contains only the aroma-chemical Iso E Super, which, on its own, is less of a fragrance than an effect. The wearer may notice a subtle, velvety, woody note which will vanish, then re-surface after some time. More than this, she or he will notice the impact the fragrance has on other people, because Molecule 01 lends an indefinable allure to the wearer. In fact, its effect is almost pheromonic."

After some extra research, I have discovered that Molecule 01 was devised in 2005  by the German perfumer Geza Schoen. It’s a unisex fragrance made by a company called Escentric Molecule, with a scent is based on one main ingredient and is designed to work with pheromones in your skin.

From only containing the aroma of one chemical, I am assuming its supposed to be more of a non-perfume sort of scent for people who don’t want the obvious smell of perfume. Something that really intrigued me about this product, is that the fragrance smells different on different people, I'm guessing this is something that enhances our "natural scent".

This fragrance would be a gorgeous gift for anyone, whether it be for Christmas or not.

Have you heard of this fragrance before? Have you tried it? Is this something that would appeal to you?

After a number of recent fashion based posts, I thought I would publish a little cheeky beauty review of something I purchased recently via the Superdrug website. The Rimmel Colour Rush Balms are something I had never seen or heard about before, so I opted to pick one up to try and so far I absolutely love it! I've always been a fan of Rimmel Products and this colour lip balm hasn't disappointed! I chose the shade Rumour Has It.Rimmel London 'Rumour Has It' Colour Rush Lipstick
The balm is lovely and applies really nice and smoothly, allowing you to build up as much colour as you want. If you're someone who doesn't have a lot of time to apply make up or not a fan of lipstick or glosses, this Rimmel Colour Rush is something you should definitely try out! They come in a range of lovely colours and this particular balm to me smells like vanilla and white chocolate... DELICIOUS!
Rimmel London 'Rumour Has It' Colour Rush Lipstick
The colour is a beautiful raspberry berry red colour, that would suit most skin tones, and be suitable for everyday wear as it's not too overpowering and bright. It's a perfect lip colour for a subtle lip, but can be built up to become more bold and vibrant!

RRP - £5.99

Have you tried the Rimmel Colour Rush yet? Does this product look like something you would use/buy? Have you tried anything similar?

I've decided to write about something slightly different from my usual fashion or beauty related posts, and share with you some of my hair care tips. Looking after your hair doesn't have to be a time consuming, expensive and a laborious task, as simple tips and tricks can help minimise weak, damaged hair from everyday wear and tear. As I am someone with long, thick hair, it can be difficult to maintain and keep looking its best, but using some of the following tips helps to keep my locks in the best condition. I've also included a few of my own personal recommendations of products that I have tried or using at the moment, that I really love and think help to keep my own hair looking strong and healthy.

1. Protect Hair Against Heat
Protecting your hair from the likes of blow drying and straightening are a must for healthy hair. Without any form of defence, the hair is subject to breakage and splitting, a definite no no! Heat Sprays are essential to keep hair away from damage and burning, and are a must for anyone using any for of heat styling!
I'd Recommend: TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray

2. Use A Good Shampoo and Conditioner Suitable For Your Hair Type
Using a good shampoo and conditioner suitable for your hair is a general must! This tip allows you to focus on your hair and make sure you're buying the right products. Most brands offer a selection of products that cater for all hair types, for example dry, damaged, coloured, long, frizzy etc.
I'd Recommend: Aussie

3. Don't Let Split Ends Spoil Your Hair
Split ends occur from everyday wear and tear, and can have your hair not looking its best. With visits to the hair dressers being pricey, using a split ends treatment can keep them minimised and disguised for that little bit longer. These treatments contain proteins that help to repair and rebuild the hair, helping to maintain luscious locks!
I'd Recommend: TRESemmé Split Remedy Treatment

4. Don't Tie Hair Up Too Tightly
This tip may come as a bit of a surprise to some of you, but tying hair up too tightly encourages damage and breakage to existing hair, as well as growing hair. This also can lead to weak and damaged hair that no one wants!
I'd recommend: Metal Free Hairbands

5. Have A Good Hairbrush
Having a good hairbrush is an essential part of maintaining beautiful healthy hair. When picking a hair brush, go for one that good at tackling everyday tangles, as tugging on hair causes breakage and damage. Also, brushing from the ends helps keep hair healthy and damage free, as this helps to ease out an tangles.

6. Pamper Your Hair With A Weekly Hair Mask/Treatment
Using a weekly hair mask or treatment helps to give your hair a boost from everyday wear and tear. Most of these contain various proteins that help to repair and reconstruct hair, leaving it looking healthy and shiney, and feeling soft and smooth.
I'd Recommend: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor

7. Let Your Hair Dry Naturally When You Can
Letting your hair dry naturally helps maintain and protect your hair, as you are using no heat. After a shower or bath, give your hair a quick pat and squeezing the hair gently between the towel. Avoid rubbing and pulling, as this causes damage and breakage. If you need to use a blow dryer, try letting hair dry naturally for as long as possible, and try to limit the temperature and time spent drying.

8. Get Hair Trimmed Regularly
Whilst you can minimise the sight of split ends, getting your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks is an essential stage in maintaining healthy hair. You can do this yourself, just getting some sharp scissors and trimming slightly above your split ends, saving yourself a trip to the hairdressers, as well as some money!

9. Washing With Warm/Cool Water
The use of warm water naturally open the pores of your scalp, which is great for removing the oil and any dirt. The use of cool water helps to add shine and to seal in the hairs moisture. Avoid using Hot/Cold water as these can be damaging to your hair. Hot water strips your hair of its natural oils and also cause hair to become frizzy, meanwhile cold water can leave your hair looking quite flat. Whilst cleansing and washing your hair use warm water, not hot. You don’t want to burn your skin and your scalp. When you’re ready to rinse out the conditioner, use cool water for a final rinse.

10. Maintain A Healthy Diet for Healthy Hair
Having a healthy diet will ensure and help to prolong better-looking, better-feeling hair. A diet packed with protein, vitamin C, iron, zinc and omega 3, are all helpful in keeping hair damage free and healthy!

Which hair products do you currently use? Did you find any of these tips useful? What tips do you already use? Which tips have you learnt from today's post? Are there any hair care products you'd recommend?
