I don't know about you, but whenever I take a trip into town to do some shopping, I always find myself in Poundland, as I have been made aware of so many beauty must haves, and for just £1, they need to be tested out!

On my latest trip, I picked up this little gem, Argan Oil Heat Defence Spray with Moroccan Oil Extract. As a lover of all things haircare, this was something I was super happy to try out and see how it compared to my beloved TRESemme Heat Defence which I have been using for years, and so far I am impressed as this to me is just as good.

With having long hair, I do my best to keep it in the best condition and looking healthy, so I have used so many hair products in the past that I know what works well for me, and this heat defence is something that I have really been loving. I simply spritz this evenly through towel dried hair before blow drying and straightening and I know my hair will be protected. The spray pump makes this so easy to apply and makes sure you get all your hair covered.

It has a special formula that helps prevent damage and breakage from using heat tools which is a must have for me, plus the added oil helps to leave your hair feeling silky and soft, and if definitely does that! The only thing that I am a bit love/hate with is the smell, it is slightly strong but not too overpowering, just smells like a salon shampoo.

So if you find yourself browsing Poundland any times soon, I would definitely recommend checking out the beauty aisles as you never know what gems you will come across. If you're looking for a new heat defence, then I would definitely tell you all to go and grab a bottle of this, as for only a quid, IT WORKS!

Have you used this heat defence spray before? Have you picked up any bargains in Poundland recently?

AD - GIFTED | A while back I was contacted on Twitter with the opportunity to review some haircare products from Richard Ward, a celebrity hairdresser with a new range of innovative hair care – The Chelsea Collection – exclusively at Waitrose. So as a lover of all things haircare, I jumped at the chance of this; as anything with keratin is great for the hair and something that promises volume is a win win for me!

Richard Ward Keratin Volume Shampoo and Conditioner

Richard Ward Keratin Volume Shampoo and Conditioner

I always mix up my haircare routine, as I feel using the same products isn't too great for your hair as the product builds up and your hair will get used to the products, therefore each wash you wont get the desired effect. Alongside my Aussie products, I was using these Richard Ward products and I was very happy with the results that I got from these.

Both the keratin volume shampoo* and conditioner* smell very lovely, really fruity and floral, not too overpowering like some salon products can be. The shampoo lathers up really well and really makes your hair feel clean after the very first wash. The conditioner on the other hand was slightly weird, not in a bad way, just a very strange consistency that I found quite difficult to squeeze out the bottle. However, once applied to the hair and rinsed out, my hair was left looking shiny and silky and feeling light and bouncy.

Overall, after using these two products for a couple of months now, I am really impressed with how they work for my hair and how my hair looks after using them. My hair is left feeling super clean, bouncy, healthy and slightly volumized, which is something I always look for when using haircare products! So if you're looking to try out some new haircare, I would definitely recommend these!

Have you tried any haircare by Richard Ward? What are your current favourite hair products?

As most of us are aware, weather in England can chop and change all the time, so this outfit is a perfect combination for the ever changing weather. This outfit is just a simple, everyday kinda casual look, that I think would suit any size or shape body.
This Topshop coat seems to be an everyday staple for me at the moment when I'm wanting something a little warmer than my leather jacket. I love oversized jumpers and this cable knit one is so comfortable and cosy, even if I did buy it a couple of sizes bigger than my usual!

Khaki Lightweight Jacket - Topshop
Grey/White Cable Knit Jumper - New Look
Black Disco Leggings - Ebay
Burgundy Vans - Very
Rose Gold Midi Rings - Primark

What do you think of the outfit I have put together? Where would you wear this? What is your favourite item?

If I'm completely honest, I'm always too lazy to moisturise my body after having a bath or shower. It just always seems to take too long or get bored halfway, and having to wait around whilst it sinks into the skin, I just can't hack it! However, after I received this in the Christmas Yule Monty gift set, this is one of the products that makes moisturising easier to get through.

Before blogging, Soap and Glory was something I had never used, let alone even heard of, but since trying out some of the goodies from the range, I am in love!

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter 300ml
Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter 300ml

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter 300ml

"Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter™ Body Butter 300ml is a smooth, creamy, and velvety intense body lotion. With skin softening Shea Butter and Aloe Vera to attract moisture, some folks think it's a bit addictive!"

Like all Soap & Glory products, The Righteous Butter smells amazing, a very fresh and light scent, that I think is perfect for the Spring and Summer months. The thick texture and consistency makes it feel so luxurious and nourishing on the skin. Packed full of Shea Butter and Aloe Vera, you know this stuff is gonna be good for the skin.

One thing that I love about this moisturiser is how quickly it sinks and absorbs into the skin, which for someone like me who hates waiting around is a miracle product! It leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth, without any greasy or oily residue which some moisturisers can leave. So what's not to love?!

"Butter yourself up: After showering or bathing, smooth a generous handful of Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter™ 300ml onto damp skin and massage gently until it sinks in.  Then relax and take in the wonderful aroma's of leafy greens, bergamot and mandarin, with a floral and fruity middle note that makes your nose tingle a little, followed by soft, sexy, musk, oakmoss, amber and woody notes."

If you're looking for a new moisturiser and want something that ticks all the boxes, Soap & Glory is a brand I would definitely recommend to you! The products are super affordable, they smell amazing and leaves your skin feeling amazing after use!

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you may notice that I have always spoken highly of the Accessorize Volumising Mascara, and crowned this one as my favourite mascara, but I think I have found something from Soap and Glory that I prefer, which is crazy as I absolutely love the Accessorize mascara.

(eye with one coat of mascara)

So let's start of with the brush. It's a super huge, fibre styled brush that really allows you to get a good grip on the lashes and into the corners of your eyes, to really open them up and frame your eyes really well. Most of the mascara's I have used have the same style brush, which for me, is the style I prefer and what I think works best for my lashes.

The application of the mascara is super easy and the formula has the perfect consistency that isn't too wet, which can lead to clumped lashes, which for me is a definite no no! I find this mascara really helps to give my lashes good length and volume which is something I always look for when picking a mascara, as I want something that will help emphasise my eyes and transform my usually short and flat lashes.

Finally the packaging of this mascara is so simple and sleek, combining a bold hot pink on a black background, really makes this stand out and really attracts the eye. It's a good travel size mascara that can fit easily into any make up or handbag and you're good to go! With a retail price of £10, it is on the higher end of the typical drugstore mascara prices (Usually 6-8 pounds) but the price wouldn't put me off from repurchasing as I really like the finished look I get from this mascara, as it helps my lashes really stand out and helps gives my desired look.

So if you are looking for a new mascara, I would highly recommend this one from Soap and Glory as it is the perfect mascara for creating lengthened and voluminous eye lashes, where you can creating a natural daytime or a more dramatic eye look. But if you wanted something on a cheaper budget, the Accessorize Mascara comes pretty close to this one and is also a mascara that I absolutely love!

Have you tried this mascara from Soap and Glory? Have you tried the Accessorize Mascara? Which is your favourite mascara?

When it comes to haircare, there is always one brand that I keep coming back to, and that is Aussie. For as long as I can remember, this brand has featured in my haircare routine and has become some of my staple products that I always go back and repurchase. Not only do Aussie products leave your hair looking and feeling healthy, smooth and soft, they always smell amazing and have a really affordable price tag, so what's not to love?!

Aussie Haircare

As I have mentioned previously on my blog that I like to chop and change up my haircare routine, whilst incorporating and testing new products, Aussie haircare is the only brand that always continuously features in this as I find there products work really well for my hair type and leave my hair in the best condition. I have tried and tested so many of the Aussie range, but the following 4 products are the ones I feel work best for me, and leave my hair looking and feeling great.

Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Lightweight Conditioning Spray
The conditioning spray is something I would use on towel dry hair, just spritz all over your hair and this helps to de-tangle your hair so that brushing/combing through is easy and hassle free. This sprays always helps to add some moisture and nourishment to your hair, to prevent dryness and weakness.

Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo
Alongside the Luscious Long Shampoo, the Aussome Volume shampoo is definitely one of my favourite products from the Aussie range. This is one of the only shampoos that I feel has really lifted and volumize my hair, making it big and bouncy! Like all Aussie products packed with Australian goodness, this one is enriched with Australian Hops that smells insanely good.

Aussie Take The Heat 3 Minute Miracle Deep Treatment
Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle is definitely a god-send product, and something I am always repurchasing as I absolutely love it! I've tried quite a few of the 3 Minute Miracle products, but I prefer the "Take The Heat" version, as this has a built in heat protection, which helps prevent my hair from damage and breakage when styling with hair dryers or straighteners.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Aussome Volume Deep Treatment Mousse
My final product in my dream team is a new release from Aussie, which is a deep treatment mousse that I have definitely fallen in love with. I've never used any hair mousse before so I was a little sceptical about how they worked or what they did, but this one from Aussie is just so amazing, I cannot describe! This mousse is very lightweight, consisting of a whipped formula that helps to give big, bouncy hair, whilst adding moisture and nourishment, without weighing it down!

So these 4 products are complete staples in my haircare routine and are products that I always go back to and repurchase as I feel they keep my hair in really good condition and are super affordable. If you are looking for some new products to add to your haircare routine or just want some to try out, I would definitely recommend Aussie, as they have such a huge variety of products for all hair types, there is definitely something for everyone!

Today's OOTD is just a simple, everyday springtime smart/casual look which I think would suit any body shape or size. It's such an easy outfit to put together, which I think looks quite dressed up, whilst the trainers give the outfit that relaxed vibe which makes it suitable for daytime wear.
The jeans are a piece I have picked up recently and I think they will be one of my spring/summer staple pairs. I absolutely love them! Also, I think everyone should have a blazer of some description, they're a perfect way to give your outfit a more dressy feel and just such a versatile piece of clothing to style. Everyone loves a bit of monochrome, so this lovely striped tee with crochet detailing on the shoulders is a great way to incorporate such a timeless trend into an outfit.

Now that we are finally seeing some warmer, generally better weather in the UK, I think its about time I ditch my beloved berry toned lipsticks and dark pinks/reds, and opt for something much more spring/summer like. I love a good peachy lip; its a perfect all rounder colour, looks pretty both day and night I think it's the perfect colour for a spring/summer day. Two lipsticks that I keep going back to are both high street brands that are super affordable and I just definitely think they are perfect peaches!

First up is a lipstick from MUA (Shade 7), a beautiful coral peach toned shade which I really adore. Shade 7 is a very creamy and highly pigmented shade, which gives amazing colour pay off in just one swipe. They are very moisturising on the lips and I find they do not need any lip balm beneath them. This was one of the first ever MUA lipsticks I had ever tried, and at £1 a pop you can't complain, and I definitely think they give many other high street brands a run for their money!

Secondly, a gorgeous lipstick from the Kate Moss Collection for Rimmel (Shade 16), which I have previously reviewed in depth here. Shade 16 is such a gorgeous peachy coral light pink colour that just screams spring/summer to me. Many lipsticks have quite a weird, unusual scent to them but Shade 16 really does smell like watermelons, which is delicious. The lipstick applies so smoothly and easily to the lips, the finish that it creates, giving full coverage after a few swipes, as well as being well pigmented and long lasting.  It was a definite favourite last year and still holds one of the top spots for my all time favourite lipstick.

MUA Lipstick Shade 7 RRP - £1
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Shade 16 RRP - £5.49

Peach toned lipsticks will definitely be my go-to this spring/summer. I find that they really suit my skin tone and are definitely perfect for any occasion! If you have any drugstore peachy lipstick recommendations then please leave a comment as I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Are you a fan of peach lipsticks? What is your favourite shade? What brands do you consider when purchasing a new lip product?

Now I've had this top a while now and haven't worn it at all, so I thought it was time to bring it out and put it together in an outfit! Burgundy is definitely one of my favourite colours and this top has a really cool and different vibe about it, mixing the block colour with mesh and polka dots, just adds a little character to the OOTD and just a little something unusual. This would be a very formal and smart outfit, but I incorporated the trainers into the look to break it up a little bit and add that casual vibe, which I really like doing.

Here's just a quick little OOTD I have put together. This is just a simple, everyday kinda casual look, which features in most of my OOTD, as this is more of my style. I have featured a new top which I ordered from Select Fashion, and I was so super happy when it arrived. Its just so loose and comfortable and perfect for throwing on when you don't know what to wear. I also got it in black too! I love it!

AD - GIFTED | As I've recently really wanted to change up my skincare routine and incorporate some new products to help clear up and help improve the condition of my skin, when the lovely team at Escentual gave me the opportunity to test out the new La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+*, I jumped at the chance as I had heard so many great reviews of this product and the brand is something I haven't tried before, but I know they are well raved about in the blogosphere!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+

Now I wouldn't say my skin is awfully bad, I have normal to oily skin, from time to time I do suffer with spots and blemishes, as well as a few red patches, so when I received this in the post, it arrived in my time off need! A definite miracle! Most skincare products to take while to get working and for you skin to adjust and get used to, but the Effaclar Duo seemed to have visible effects after the first week, which I was super impressed with! Since then, I've been using the Effaclar Duo+ for around 3 weeks now and it has definitely improved any imperfections and the general appearance of my skin. My skin looks and feel a lot more smooth, my redness has reduced considerably and any blemish marks are slowly becoming less visible.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+

"Target the key signs of oily and blemish-prone skin with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+], a complete skincare solution that eliminates acne marks from the moment they start to form.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+

The product is quite a lightweight gel like cream consistency that applies so smoothly and absorbs into the skin so quickly. It has a lovely clean and fresh scent which I really like, as I have found some similar products to have quite an off putting scent which can be slightly overwhelming and overpowering. I've been using this product after cleansing my skin, both day and night, and then following with a moisturiser, which seems to be working well for my skin. It really is a delight to use, and a definite repurchase item in my skincare staples.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+

"This non-sticky, melt-in formula is clinically proven to correct the appearance of blemishes, while unclogging blocked pores, controlling shine and refining the skin’s texture. Anti-inflammatory Niacinamide intensely soothes, while LHA and Salicylic Acid gently exfoliate the surface of the skin. Suitable for even the most sensitive skin, the formula accelerates the skin’s repair process."

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+

"The best selling Duo formula has now been enhanced with Procerad, a patented Ceramide that rebuilds the skin’s surface and prevents the red and brown pigmentation marks left behind by acne. This key ingredient reduces inflammation and the proliferation of hyper-pigmentation, which can become permanent if left untreated."

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+

If you're someone who suffers from redness, spots and blemishes or uneven skin tone, I cannot recommend this product enough. I know a lot of skincare takes a while to get working, but if you want to see gradual result in a shorter space of time than usual products, I would suggest you give this ago as it has done wonders for my skin! This is the first product from La Roche-Posay that I have tried and to be honest, I can't wait to get my hands on some more of what they have to offer!

Have you tried the Effaclar Duo+? What did you think of the product? Have you tried any other products from La Roche-Posay?
