AD| Nothing beats redecorating a room and feeling like you've walked into a brand-new house. Whether you're renting your home or just in need of a freshen up to your current interior, there are lots of things to consider before making changes.

home decor ideas

Firstly, is there anything better than adding an array of plants to your home to help add some colour and make a focal point to any room. Plants are the perfect accompaniment to any home, whether you pick a fresh bunch of flowers to display on your worktops, cacti and succulents for your shelving units or even a large piece of greenery to place in a corner of a room to make a statement. There are so many possibilities of where/how to make plants a feature of your home, I'd definitely recommend getting a good selection to help make a house feel more homely.

Candles. A perfect way to create a welcoming and calm atmosphere. The flicker of candlelight produces a lovely ambiance that simply cannot be replicated. Nothing feels more relaxing and warming than this. They are perfect for the darker, colder night to help make the home feel super cosy. Not only can they be used to lighting your homes in the evening, but some candles look super luxurious and sleek, that they could even be made to be decorative features on coffee tables and bookshelves. As well as coming in a huge variety of scents, there is definitely something for everyone.

Whether it's cushions, rugs, throws or blankets, soft furnishings are an easy way to update a drab looking sofa or add colour to a boring bedroom. These home accessories are a perfect addition for adding colour and texture to any room of the house. Rugs are perfect for covering up any boring old carpet or floorboards, and to add some excitement to any dull room. If you are looking for affordable carpet tile options in the colour theme that you are using to decorate, consider checking out www.carpettilewholesale.co.uk, as they have such a vast ranges of products to offer, and are perfect to use for any home decor jobs.

Wall hangings, artwork and framed prints are a great way of injecting some personality and colour into any space, as welling as provide a focal point to each room. They are the perfect decorative feature to add to any room of the home, depending on your chosen interiors theme. There are so many styles to choose from, including bold graphic prints and monochrome styles, you'll be spoilt for choice. For renters, just make sure to double-check the rules about wall hangings, but usually any good landlord will compare landlord insurance policies to ensure they are protected for this. Alternatively, if wall hangings aren't permitted, using command strips or even making use of surfaces to prop up your artwork, such as shelving units, bookcases, dressing tables and worktops, could work just as well.

If candles aren't your thing, or you're worried you'll forget to blow them out, reed diffusers are a great way of adding some fragrance to your home and keeping it smelling fresh. As they lightly release the scent throughout the room without flames, making them more practical and much safer to use in the home. With an amazing variety of scents available, you'll bound to find something to suit your preferences. Personally, I tend to go for very fresh, clean scents as I find these very welcoming and uplifting.

Lighting plays a vital role when trying to create the perfect atmosphere in your home. During the day, we obviously want to let in as much natural light as possible. This can help to make rooms feel larger than they actually are. But during the evening, lighting features such as dimmer switches, lamps or even string fairy lights can help to evoke a warming, relaxing and cosy ambience.

Lastly, to give your home some finishing touches, decorative ornaments can help to add some interest to areas of the room that may require some attention. These can help to add a personal touch to your home's interior and to show off your own personal tastes when it comes to homeware and interiors. Pieces such as vases, sculptures, trinket dishes and figures, just to name a few, really help to add some character to a room. The good thing about these ornaments is that they are easily interchangeable, so if you're not happy with the placement or style, you can swap it from something else that is much better suited.

What home décor tips do you have?

AD| With many companies trying to figure out how they will enable their employees to effectively and efficiently work from home, many homeowners are looking for ways to re-evaluate their necessities. Many people are looking to get more space for a home office. You probably need a bigger home when working remotely if your home doesn’t offer enough space for a home office.

home buying tips

•Factors to Consider before Buying a Bigger Home•

The affordability of the home

It is common sense that bigger homes always come with larger price tags. However, the sales are not the only thing that is inflated here.  There are bigger property tax payments, larger insurance to protect the home, and utility bills. Bigger homes are expensive to heat and cool compared to small ones.

Prior to buying a bigger home, consider all the added costs that come with the purchase. Learn more about the current household budget and decide whether the bigger home's real cost fits in. Use a house loan calculator to approximate your monthly mortgage payments. Additionally, compare mortgage offers from various lenders to make the most of your buying power.

What you are willing to sacrifice

Maybe, you love living in or near the city, but you find bigger homes in a problematic locality. Keep in mind that finding a bigger home in the city comes with a high price tag. You will ultimately have to leave the city and look for a home that fits your budget.

Are you ready to sacrifice that? Because moving far from the city will also mean extended commute hours to work, and you will spend more time in your car to get to your beloved restaurant and shopping hubs. To get the extra space you need, for example, the bigger back yards, extra bedrooms, and a luxurious bathroom suite, you will have to sacrifice the convenience and pleasure of living in a big city.

How much more space you need

When selecting a bigger home to buy, consider the way your family lives. You won’t need a more oversized kitchen if your family doesn’t do much cooking. Go for a house with just enough space that you need. If it is an extra bedroom, you probably won’t need a two-car garage.  If you are buying a bigger home to find space for a home office, just pick one with an extra one room, depending on the size of your home office.

Once you are aware of what you want, start focusing on the beauty. As you go about your daily life, deliberate on the various types of houses you see and make notes on the ones that amaze you. Ideally, you will need a home that will give you the extra room for your home office without going overboard.

The equity in your current home

Home equity is the difference between what you owe on your mortgage and the current worth of your home. It is crucial to consider the equity you have in your current home if you want to buy a bigger one. If you built up equity in your current home, you could be lucky to evade a huge mortgage payment. When selling your home, you can apply the profits to your down payments and lessen your mortgage payments on your bigger home.

home finances

The current condition of the market

It is always a sellers’ market or a buyers’ market. This means that the market can favour the seller or the buyers. But who gets the most out of the market situations? If you want to buy a bigger home, you will have to wait for the time when the market is in favour of the buyers; this equals to lower interest rates and lower home price tags.

But what will happen when it is time to sell your home? It would be best if you always keep your home's resale value in mind when shopping for a bigger home. You might be looking for a home that is big enough for your entire family, but if your home has excess irrelevant features, you might just turn away any potential buyers. You will struggle to sell it for a price that will give you a profit.

Bottom Line

The Coronavirus pandemic has homeowners re-evaluating their needs. This is particularly true for individuals or parents working from home and families that have children who have started remote learning. Remember to take care of your eyes as you work from home, and get a bigger home with adequate learning space and office space sounds impeccable.

With the right research, it is possible to get a bigger home within your budget. Use the above tips as points of considerations when buying a bigger home.

AD - GIFTED | 2020 has been the year of loungewear. The global pandemic has seen many of us in lockdown and staying at home. We've all ditched the jeans and tight clothing in favour for something more comfortable and relaxed. Everybody has been going loungewear crazy over the last few months, and there's no doubt about it that it's been super popular, and it's definitely here to stay for the foreseeable future. Whether you're working from home, Netflixing and chill, popping to the shops or just want something cosy and cute to wear, loungewear is definitely your best friend, and you definitely need to get stocked up!

Loungewear is so versatile, dressed up or dressed down, there's so many ways to wear it, and still look stylish yet comfy. If you saw my Lockdown Loungewear Lookbook, you'll know I'm a huge fan of joggers - especially from FemmeLuxe! Joggers are stylish, super comfy, and flattering for all ages and all body types. They are the ULTIMATE chill, cosy day essential when it comes to clothing. I've put together 4 different outfits to show different ways that I would style joggers for some simple but casual Autumn/Winter everyday looks.

Loungewear Outfits

1. Slogan Tees & Joggers

Firstly, I've paired some dark green cuffed joggers* with a simple slogan tee. Slogan tees are a wardrobe MUST HAVE. The colour of these joggers just screams Autumn/Winter to me. During the colder months of the year, I definitely gravitate towards more dark, earthy tones to add to my wardrobe, and these khaki joggers seemed like the perfect addition. Featuring an elasticated waist with a hidden drawstring, you can really cinch these joggers in to give you a bit of shape, as the oversized legs might be a bit much for you. To complete the outfit, I would style it with either an oversized leather jacket or an aviator style coat, and some chunky trainers or boots, for a more edgy outfit.

Loungewear Outfits

2. Long Sleeve T Shirt & Joggers

These light blue cuffed joggers* are just the cutest. The colour is simply unreal, a beautiful light blue/green shade which is unlike any other pair of joggers in my current collection. Colder weather means we ditch the short sleeves in favour of long sleeve tops. These joggers also feature a drawstring waist, which is perfect for when you want to tuck tops in. Paired with a borg style teddy coat and some trainers would make the cutest, casual outfit.

Loungewear Outfits

3. Hoodie & Joggers

This is the ultimate comfort outfit. There's honestly nothing better than a cute and casual matching loungewear set. This outfit is the perfect off-duty look for everyday wear. A cute Co-Ord just make you feel more 'put together' and looks like you made more of an effort than you actually have. If i were to wear this outside, then I would team it with an oversized puffer jacket and a pair of chunky trainers for a simple, stylish outfit. You could even style it with a chunky necklace and a baseball cap if you wish to accessorize. If you don't have a grey oversized/crop hoodie and a pair of grey cuffed joggers* then you're really missing out!

Loungewear Outfits

4. Bodysuit & Joggers

These cream fleece front pocket joggers* are unlike anything I've seen before. The front pockets are so big - imagine how many snacks you could fit in those! Anyway, teaming a bodysuit with joggers is basically the perfect combination. The top half is tucked in and you know it won't be rolling up and ruining the look. To make this outfit more appropriate for the colder weather, I would pair it with an oversized shacket - ultimate cosy vibes - and some trainers or even some chunky boots, for a simple everyday look.

Whether you're looking for a new Lounge Set, cosy joggers, or just some pieces to revamp your wardrobe with, FemmeLuxe is a great place to shop. Super affordable, a huge variety of clothing, great quality and fast delivery, what more could you want?

Which outfit is your favourite? How would you style joggers for Autumn/Winter?

AD| Web developers are now in abundance and constantly throwing themselves at potential clients. However, there is a difference between a cowboy and a professional web developer who will devote as much time as is required to get your website into the best position on Google, whilst it looks and functions at optimum levels.

Professional website developers are in great demand but can be found if you look hard enough. However, some companies get impatient and opt for an agency which charges a small fee but delivers them with budget-looking websites which don’t match their brands message and unfriendly user experience. In the current climate, don’t you think it’s worth hiring a professional to design and operate the most important aspect of your business?

Be Prepared

It can be as simple as making a list of requirements for your website based on its purpose how it should serve your audience. Separating the needs from the wants on your list when it comes to designing a website is the most efficient way to make a start towards going live.

Professional web developers will go step-by-step with you through the design and programming stages to make sure all little errors, adjustments and additions are made before you go live. From there it's going to take a little research into the right developer for the job.

The Search Begins…

The best way to find a professional web developer is by reading online reviews about them. Just because a developer is near you, doesn’t always mean they are going to bring the best level of service to your online business. Looking at their geographic range, be it local operations or national services, can easily dictate whether they have achieved a profound reputation or are a one-stop wonder.

Let’s not skip the financial aspect. Perhaps you’re working to a budget? Well, let’s get things straight now, the cheapest option can often mean that the quality of work and final product that you’re getting is of poor quality too. Investing in a we development professional may cost more at the time but will reap more sales than a budget friendly option could ever hope to.

Only the best digital marketers will have an outstanding portfolio and testimonials ready and waiting to present to you via their website. Be sure to explore those websites too and question whether they run, look and function to the same standard you would expect yours to?

…and Ends Online

Stockport website design agencies have a consistent, flawless reputation for delivering effective website design alongside multiple SEO and social media management service. When paired with responsive web design, properly programmed by your web developer, means your user experience remains positive from the get-go and you climb up to the top of Google's search rankings.

When your business needs a boost, a professional website developer will put your online sales to record highs!

Women's perfumes and fragrances are the ideal gifts for anytime of the year, but especially Christmas. I know I've always got at least one or two on my list to add to my ever-growing collection. From YSL to Ghost to Primark, I've built quite the collection with a range of scents, there is always the perfect perfume for any occasion. But as always, I have perfumes on my Wishlist, and Christmas is the perfect time to get some new ones.

So here's the 6 women's perfumes on my Christmas Wishlist this year!

Women's Perfumes

1. Ariana Grande - Cloud
"This addictive scent opens with a dreamy blend of alluring lavender blossom, forbidden juicy pear and mouth-watering bergamot. The heart of the fragrance is a whipped touch of crème de coconut, indulgent praline and exotic, vanilla orchid. Sensual musks and creamy woods add a cashmere like feel that seduces the senses."

I've been a huge fan of Ariana's perfume range. I've previously worn both ARI and Sweet Like Candy, and for celebrity perfumes, they are absolutely lovely and super affordable. This perfume would be perfect for everyday use, the scents itself are so fresh and fruity, it would be a stand out fragrance in your collection.

2. YSL - Black Opium Intense
"Blue absinthe, flavoured with wormwood, and aromatic herbs combines with anis and sweet blue boysenberry; jasmine sambac absolute fuses with orange blossom absolute, making up the sensual heart of the fragrance. At the base, the sultry coffee note that underpins the Black Opium iconic olfactory signature is accompanied by licorice, sandalwood and creamy vanilla for a deliberately daring, ultra-feminine scent."

The original Black Opium perfume from YSL is my absolute all time favourite. It's my go-to signature scent. I just can't get enough! But when I noticed there was a newer, more intense version of this, I knew it had to be mine. YSL fragrances never disappoint. They are so long-lasting, they make you smell incredible and they'll have you getting compliments all day long!

Women's Perfumes

3. Thierry Mugler - Alien
"Distinctive and mysterious, yet comforting and soft, Alien by MUGLER conveys passion sensuality and the essence of absolute femininity. Alien Perfume is a rich floral woody amber fragrance containing jasmine sambac, cashmeran wood and white amber it is a fragrance whose magic trails awakens your emotions. A scent like no other it is irresistibly appealing and totally out of this world..."

I've purchased Alien previously, so I have included this as this is such a great perfume for anyone, regardless of age. It's unlike any perfume that I've tried before. It has a very strong, deep scent, slightly musky and mysterious, that really lingers on the skin all day long. No need for top ups!

4. Hugo Boss - The Scent for Her
"Inspired by a journey of powerful seduction, 'Boss The Scent' for her exudes a sublime feminine elegance, warmth and seductiveness that unfolds gradually over time drawing the BOSS woman and the BOSS man closer."

Another perfume that I've worn previously but have now ran out of. The Scent by Hugo Boss is very light and fresh, with a sweet floral fragrance. It's a perfect perfume to take from day to night. So sophisticated yet delicate, it's definitely one to add to your collection.

Women's Perfumes

5. Gucci - Bamboo
"Gucci Bamboo perfume for her by Gucci encourages confidence and strength. A woody, floral women’s perfume that is beautifully feminine and natural. Warming woody notes flow through the women’s fragrance; deep sandalwood and amber combined with sweet Tahitian vanilla. A complementary contrast of exotic floral notes balances the perfume with soft undertones of Casablanca lily, orange blossom and ylang-ylang."

One brand that I'm yet to venture towards when it comes to perfumes is Gucci. I've added this one to my Wishlist not only to test the Gucci scent, but also because it's more of a sweet floral scent that I don't really have in my collection.

6. Giorgio Armani - Si
"Chic, sultry, intense and soft at the same time, Sì is a chypre scent reinvented, lingering on the skin and captivating the senses. It combines an inflection of three accords: blackcurrant nectar, modern chypre and light musky wood."

Again, Giorgio Armani is another brand that I haven't come across yet in terms of perfumes, but I've heard so many good reviews and recommendations of theirs, that I know I need to give it a try. The classic perfume 'Si' seems to be a firm favourite from the Armani fragrance line and is one that I would really love to try. The mixture of notes that are combined within the perfume sound absolutely lovely. Fruity and musky sounds like the perfect combination, and I know that I'll need to purchase this one soon!

What perfumes are on your Wishlist? What are your favourite fragrances?
