AD - GIFTED | I was kindly sent the Redken Fashion Waves 07*, which is a texturizing salt spray, used to add some effortless beachy waves and to enhance the texture of the hair, creating gorgeous tousled locks! I was looking forward to trying out as I have never used a salt spray before, but really wanted too!

Redken Fashion Waves Sea Salt Spray
"Create textured, beachy waves with the help of the brand new Fashion Waves 07 from Redken. A sea salt-infused finishing spray which gives hair an effortless, fresh from the beach look, this spray creates a naturally tousled style for hair that looks sexy and lived in."

My hair is naturally pretty straight, with the odd wavy parts, so this product was definitely a help in creating some texture and helping me to style my hair differently. This specific product is from the Redken Signature Look range which is designed by Redken artists for that fresh from the salon style any time you need at home.
Redken Fashion Waves Sea Salt SprayRedken Fashion Waves Sea Salt Spray

After using the product a few times, I absolutely loved the texture and style that it gave my hair, it gave my normally straight hair effortless beachy waves that I really loved! I used the the salt spray after blow drying my hair, which really helped me to create a messy and roughed look, which is a style that looks really gorgeous and sexy! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to add some texture and style, to what is normal boring hair!

Have you used any Redken hair products before? Have you used salt sprays before? Would this salt spray be something that appeals to you?

Today's blog post shall be sharing with you my "go to" lip products that I shall be using this Autumn/Winter. When thinking about what lip sticks and lacquers I have bought to use at this time of year, I was amazed that all the products I am featuring today have been from Rimmel! For the Autumn/Winter time, I usually tend to head towards either a really bold red/berry lip or a nude colour (which I wear all year round anyway), so I have included a mix and match of colours that I think would suit the majority of skin tones.
Drugstore Lipstick Swatches
I have swatched all of the lip products above, and as you can see, they are all highly pigmented and have a full coverage with just one swipe. I find all Rimmel products I have used before, they have been very pigmented and easy to apply, as well as being very affordable and a variety of shades! Most of these products I have previously reviewed, so I shall leave the link to them, so you can go and have a peak at what I think.

AD | Today, I have the opportunity to share with you all a fragrance that is very unique, and something I hadn't heard of before, which made me want to read up on what Molecule 01 actually is.
Molecule 01

"Molecule 01 contains only the aroma-chemical Iso E Super, which, on its own, is less of a fragrance than an effect. The wearer may notice a subtle, velvety, woody note which will vanish, then re-surface after some time. More than this, she or he will notice the impact the fragrance has on other people, because Molecule 01 lends an indefinable allure to the wearer. In fact, its effect is almost pheromonic."

After some extra research, I have discovered that Molecule 01 was devised in 2005  by the German perfumer Geza Schoen. It’s a unisex fragrance made by a company called Escentric Molecule, with a scent is based on one main ingredient and is designed to work with pheromones in your skin.

From only containing the aroma of one chemical, I am assuming its supposed to be more of a non-perfume sort of scent for people who don’t want the obvious smell of perfume. Something that really intrigued me about this product, is that the fragrance smells different on different people, I'm guessing this is something that enhances our "natural scent".

This fragrance would be a gorgeous gift for anyone, whether it be for Christmas or not.

Have you heard of this fragrance before? Have you tried it? Is this something that would appeal to you?

After a number of recent fashion based posts, I thought I would publish a little cheeky beauty review of something I purchased recently via the Superdrug website. The Rimmel Colour Rush Balms are something I had never seen or heard about before, so I opted to pick one up to try and so far I absolutely love it! I've always been a fan of Rimmel Products and this colour lip balm hasn't disappointed! I chose the shade Rumour Has It.Rimmel London 'Rumour Has It' Colour Rush Lipstick
The balm is lovely and applies really nice and smoothly, allowing you to build up as much colour as you want. If you're someone who doesn't have a lot of time to apply make up or not a fan of lipstick or glosses, this Rimmel Colour Rush is something you should definitely try out! They come in a range of lovely colours and this particular balm to me smells like vanilla and white chocolate... DELICIOUS!
Rimmel London 'Rumour Has It' Colour Rush Lipstick
The colour is a beautiful raspberry berry red colour, that would suit most skin tones, and be suitable for everyday wear as it's not too overpowering and bright. It's a perfect lip colour for a subtle lip, but can be built up to become more bold and vibrant!

Have you tried the Rimmel Colour Rush yet? Does this product look like something you would use/buy? Have you tried anything similar?

I've decided to write about something slightly different from my usual fashion or beauty related posts, and share with you some of my hair care tips. Looking after your hair doesn't have to be a time consuming, expensive and a laborious task, as simple tips and tricks can help minimise weak, damaged hair from everyday wear and tear.

As I am someone with long, thick hair, it can be difficult to maintain and keep looking its best, but using some of the following tips helps to keep my locks in the best condition. I've also included a few of my own personal recommendations of products that I have tried or using at the moment, that I really love and think help to keep my own hair looking strong and healthy.

Arty photo of women hairstyle

1. Protect Hair Against Heat
Protecting your hair from the likes of blow drying and straightening are a must for healthy hair. Without any form of defence, the hair is subject to breakage and splitting, a definite no no! Heat Sprays are essential to keep hair away from damage and burning, and are a must for anyone using any for of heat styling!
I'd Recommend: TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray

2. Use A Good Shampoo and Conditioner Suitable For Your Hair Type
Using a good shampoo and conditioner suitable for your hair is a general must! This tip allows you to focus on your hair and make sure you're buying the right products. Most brands offer a selection of products that cater for all hair types, for example dry, damaged, coloured, long, frizzy etc.
I'd Recommend: Aussie

3. Don't Let Split Ends Spoil Your Hair
Split ends occur from everyday wear and tear, and can have your hair not looking its best. With visits to the hair dressers being pricey, using a split ends treatment can keep them minimised and disguised for that little bit longer. These treatments contain proteins that help to repair and rebuild the hair, helping to maintain luscious locks!
I'd Recommend: Bondi Boost Rapid Repair Serum

4. Don't Tie Hair Up Too Tightly
This tip may come as a bit of a surprise to some of you, but tying hair up too tightly encourages damage and breakage to existing hair, as well as growing hair. This also can lead to weak and damaged hair that no one wants!
I'd recommend: Metal Free Hairbands

5. Have A Good Hairbrush
Having a good hairbrush is an essential part of maintaining beautiful healthy hair. When picking a hair brush, go for one that good at tackling everyday tangles, as tugging on hair causes breakage and damage. Also, brushing from the ends helps keep hair healthy and damage free, as this helps to ease out an tangles.

6. Pamper Your Hair With A Weekly Hair Mask/Treatment
Using a weekly hair mask or treatment helps to give your hair a boost from everyday wear and tear. Most of these contain various proteins that help to repair and reconstruct hair, leaving it looking healthy and shiny, and feeling soft and smooth.
I'd Recommend: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor

7. Let Your Hair Dry Naturally When You Can
Letting your hair dry naturally helps maintain and protect your hair, as you are using no heat. After a shower or bath, give your hair a quick pat and squeezing the hair gently between the towel. Avoid rubbing and pulling, as this causes damage and breakage. If you need to use a blow dryer, try letting hair dry naturally for as long as possible, and try to limit the temperature and time spent drying.

8. Get Hair Trimmed Regularly
Whilst you can minimise the sight of split ends, getting your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks is an essential stage in maintaining healthy hair. You can do this yourself, just getting some sharp scissors and trimming slightly above your split ends, saving yourself a trip to the hairdressers, as well as some money!

9. Washing With Warm/Cool Water
The use of warm water naturally open the pores of your scalp, which is great for removing the oil and any dirt. The use of cool water helps to add shine and to seal in the hairs moisture. Avoid using Hot/Cold water as these can be damaging to your hair. Hot water strips your hair of its natural oils and also cause hair to become frizzy, meanwhile cold water can leave your hair looking quite flat. Whilst cleansing and washing your hair use warm water, not hot. You don’t want to burn your skin and your scalp. When you’re ready to rinse out the conditioner, use cool water for a final rinse.

10. Maintain A Healthy Diet for Healthy Hair
Having a healthy diet will ensure and help to prolong better-looking, better-feeling hair. A diet packed with protein, vitamin C, iron, zinc and omega 3, are all helpful in keeping hair damage free and healthy!

Which hair products do you currently use? Are there any hair care products you'd recommend?

So I've finally got round to writing up my review for the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks that I really have been enjoying! This is a fantastic lipstick with a huge variety of colours. It leaves your lips feeling moisturised, hydrated and soft and looks new and fresh for a long time. They glide on nicely and the pigmentation is really good. They aren't drying at all and they leave a really nice sheen on the lips so no need for lip gloss  The staying power is quite good too, especially for the price. The colours that I picked up were "215 Sweetheart Tulips", "260 Amethyst Shimmer" and "720 Notting Hill Nude", which are some absolutely gorgeous colours to add to my makeup collection. The packaging is  very sleek and gorgeous and looks much more expensive and the colour range has a colour for absolutely everybody!

"Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick, incorporates a unique blend of three super-moisturisers – polypeptides, hyaluronic acid and natural collagen – to hydrate lips intensely and in depth, lips look and feel up to 70% more hydrated."
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick Sweetheart Tulips
 215 Sweetheart Tulips
Sweetheart Tulips is a bright warm toned pink with shimmer, that is a gorgeous everyday colour that I have been wearing a lot recently. It is quite a bright pink, but its not "too in your face" that would restrict you from wearing it during the daytime as well as the evening. This lipstick has some great pigmentation and only takes 1 swipe across the lips for them to be fully covered, which is great!

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick Amethyst Shimmer
 260 Amethyst Shimmer

Amethyst Shimmer is a gorgeous deep berry sort of pink colour with some shimmer. The colour is bold and quite vibrant against my skin, but in a pretty, wearable way, which for me is more an evening sort of colour as I don't think I'd pull it off during the day. It is a beautiful violet-pinkish colour that is the perfect balance of subtle brightness-elegant, not too in-your-face, but not dull either, which is perfect for me.
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick Notting Hill Nude
720 Notting Hill Nude

I bought this in the shade 'Notting Hill' because I was desperate for a new nude lipstick. It is very moisturising and is nice and glossy. It applies really nicely and the colour builds up within 1 or 2 swipes across the lips. It's a lovely everyday sort of colour, even perfect if you want to wear more heavy eye make up and have simple lips, also a lipstick that is wearable all year long!

So for today's post, I have finally been able to give first impressions on two of the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers. This product comes in a great range of colours, in which I picked up Luna and Stellar.
Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers
"The intense colour of a lipstick with a smooth lacquer shine? Impossible, right? Wrong! New Apocalips* Lip Lacquer combines the best of both worlds with its ground-breaking formula - a luscious liquid packed with pure colour pigments for rich colour, phenomenal shine and supreme comfort that lasts all day. The lip lacquer formula gives your lips colour so strong and bold that your pout is bound to make an impact!"

These liquid lip colours have some of the greatest pigmentation, with only one swipe provides an opaque colour with a glossy finish instantly. The product is creamy and the foam applicator makes it easy to apply smoothly and evenly on the lips. They are very easy to apply, the doe foot applicator allows the lacquer formula to glide on easily and smoothly, also allowing you to be more accurate and precise when applying to the lips. I also find these very long lasting, even after eating or drinking, which is a definite bonus as I don't find myself having to keep applying the product.
Rimmel Apocalips Luna

Luna is a beautiful nude like warm true peach shade which is brightening and warming, which adds such a subtle hint of colour to the lips, a definite everyday sort of colour. It’s really a lovely peachy-nude shade that would be flattering on a lot of skin tones. It’s also completely non-sticky and doesn’t smell weirdly or perfumed like many lipsticks and glosses.

Rimmel Apocalips Stellar
Stellar is probably my favourite out of the two shades. An absolutely stunning bold coral red colour, that looks absolutely gorgeous on the lips. For me, its more of an evening lip colour, as I'm afraid I wouldn't be brave enough to pull it off as an everyday sort of look. A definite must have if you're out to make a statement!

However, today's post will be sharing with you some mascara's that I've been using or have used, and to share my views with them with you! Please feel free to leave any of your favourites or any recommendations in the comments!

Collection 2000 Longer Lash Black
Collection 2000 Longer Lash Black £2.99
This is the first mascara that I have used from this range and I'm not completely sure if I would try any other mascaras from Collection 2000.  However, it did have some good points; it's really easy to apply, doesn't clump badly and instantly makes my lashes look darker and longer and for only £2.99 it is a bargain mascara. I just don't think it gives the right effect and look that I prefer from a mascara, as I like one that gives a lengthening and voluminous effect in one.

Topshop Volume Lash Mascara
Topshop Volume Lash Mascara £10
The only reason I picked up a Topshop mascara is I've heard many bloggers rave about how good there make up selection is, in which I ended up trying out this mascara. I like the fact is has a nice even brush that helps to get all lashes, has a really dark black colour, long lasting and you can actually notice it working well to create a voluminous look. The only thing I didn't really like about the mascara was the perfume like scent, which was a bit off putting.

Rimmel Scandal'eyes Volume Flash Waterproof Black
Rimmel Scandal'eyes Volume Flash Waterproof Black £6.99
In the past, I've used quite a few products from Rimmel and been very happy with the end result, until I started to use this. I don't know if its just me, but I didn't really get on with this product at all! From using this mascara a few times, I felt that my lashes looked quite short and clumpy and not much volume was added, which disappointed me.

Accessorize Volumising Mascara
Accessorize Volumising Mascara
This is probably one of my most used mascara's and I really enjoy using it. It defines, separates, lengthens and volumises the lashes really well to give a natural look or is very buildable to give more of a dramatic look. The brush is a nice size and the mascara doesn't dry or clump on the applicator, which helps when applying to the lashes. It lasts all day without smudging or leaving the lashes feeling brittle and dry. The packagings pretty cute, covered in animal print and with pink roses which I really like aswell.

2True Eye Lengthening Mascara No 1 Black
2True Eye Lengthening Mascara No 1 Black £1.99
This is probably the cheapest mascara that I have bought, and to be honest with you I wasn't actually disappointed with it. It helps to thicken, separate and build lashes, without clumping and give such a natural daytime look.

Rimmel Extra Super lash Mascara Black/Black 101
Rimmel Extra Super lash Mascara Black/Black 101 £4.99
This is another Rimmel product, and it's one of those products that I don't particularly love or hate. It gives the lashes a really dark black coat and gives some reasonable length and volume, but not to the degree that I would like. It does have a tendency to clump slightly, so you do have to be careful when applying.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Fibre Mascara Black
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Fibre Mascara Black £7.99
This is a really nice mascara, it lasts all day and doesn't smudge which is something I look for. However, the I did find the applicator quite weird and flimsy to use as its plastic, and the brush was quite a weird size and shape. Also, it did lengthen my lashes, but did leave them quite clumpy and spider like, which for me is a big no! I think this is probably something I wouldn't use again, the product was over hyped and the only thing that really drew me towards it was the packaging.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Flex Mascara
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Flex Mascara £6.99
This mascara workswell at thickening the eyelashes and adding a lot of length, however it does get slightly clumpy and flaky and the product does build up heavily on the brush, which doesn't help when applying. I found the mascara itself to be quite a dry formula which doesn't really give a nice effect on the lashes and does make them look quite awful.

Which mascara's have you been using recently? Have you tried any of the ones I have featured? Would you recommend any for me ?

Hey guys! Today's post is going to be something slightly different in which I want to share with you something that I purchased on Ebay to help store my jewellery. I purchased this 3 Drawer Mini Storage Unit to help me organise my rings and bracelets, as keeping them in a makeup bag wasn't really neat and everything was just all tangled up!
Ebay Jewellery Drawer Storage Unit
The storage unit measures: 15cm x 15cm x 13cm (Height x Depth x Width), so I thought it would be the perfect size to sit upon my desk. It only cost £3.95 with free P&P, which I thought was such a bargain!

Hey guys! It’s been a long while since I posted anything around the topic of lipsticks, and from a previous post sharing my Rimmel London Kate Lipsticks, which seemed pretty popular and I had got some great feedback and suggestions, I wanted to share with you My Current High Street/Drugstore Lipstick Collection. In the past, I’ve always kept it safe and always bought and worn nude coloured lipsticks, which there is no problem with, however quite recently I have been buying more colourful peaches, corals and pinks, that just add that pop of colour and I have really been enjoying and embracing the fact I have stepped out of my “comfort zone”! Now, my collection of lipsticks isn’t the biggest or most expensive, but I just thought it would be nice to share with you that current shades and colours that I own, and to see what you think of them and maybe show you some you’ve not tried and it might change your mind on certain brands or colours.
Drugstore Lipsticks
The first selection in My High Street/Drugstore Lipsticks is from the Kate Moss Rimmel London Lasting Finish Range, which I have been using for so long and still loving! I picked these up in Superdrug in the following shades; 05, 09 and 16, which retail at £5.49 each. I won’t go into too much detail about these, as you can read my previous post here.
Rimmel Drugstore Lipsticks

Shade 05 – A gorgeous deep berry red colour with pink tones, which I find perfect for a night out!
Shade 09 – This is a beautiful purple/brown toned nude colour, an everyday use lipstick!
Shade 16 – My favourite of my Rimmel Lipsticks, this is a lovely bright pinky peachy coral that is very summery and pretty!

The next few in my collection are just ones that I have tried out and not loved or hated, just lipsticks that I don’t use that often, but still keep them in case the right occasion pops up or I feel they go with a specific outfit or look.
Drugstore Lipsticks
Drugstore LipsticksDrugstore Lipsticks Swatches
Primark Lipstick – I got this lipstick in a coral pink colour, which only cost £1. I really like the colour; however when applied to lips, it isn’t very pigmented and needs quite a lot of swipes to achieve some colour.
Barry M Shade 121 – I bought this lipstick AGES ago, I think it was £5?, it is a very deep and vibrant pillar box red colour, that quite frankly I don’t think I’m that brave enough to pull off!
Topshop Lips in Macaroon – This lipstick was my first make up purchase from Topshop costing £8, after I read about how great there lipsticks were from a number of different blog. I chose this bright pink colour, with slight peachy tones which is very summery!

Finally, the last two lipsticks in my collection is something I have recently purchased and have loved ever since, and I don’t know why it took me so long to experiment with and try out! These lipsticks are from MUA, which I also bought in Superdrug in shades, 7 and 12, which retail at just £1, bargain or what?!?!
Drugstore Lipsticks

Shade 7 – A really pretty peachy coral shade with a hint of shimmer, which is really pigmented and so versatile to wear both day and night.
Shade 12 – This is a really gorgeous shimmery pink shade, which has such a lovely colour to it and perfect for everyday use!

Which lipsticks do you currently own? What is your favourite lipstick brand? What shades of colour do you usually go for? Do you own any that I have shared today? Would you buy any listed above?
