How well did your blog perform in 2021? Did you achieve all your blogging goals you had set for the year? Are you looking at ways to improve your content, be more organised, more productive and more successful in 2022?

In 2021, I managed to have an incredibly good year for my blog for a number of reasons. First of all, I managed to hit my financial goal I had set myself for the year from working on a number of sponsored posts and campaigns with brands and PRs. Secondly, I got to work alongside a number of incredible and well known brands for a number of posts on my blog - some of these brands being Hotel Chocolat, The Poster Store, Parfum London, as well as submitting some recipe posts for the B&M website.

Thirdly, I used my time wisely throughout lockdown and being placed on furlough to really work on ways I can improve and expand all areas of my website. My lifestyle blog now has a total of 10 lifestyle based sub-sections, allowing me to share new articles on a wide range of topics, that can be relatable and engaging for a larger amount of people. Finally, time for some statistics. My lifestyle blogs audience is predominantly UK and US based, but it does currently have influence across many continents across the world, including Europe, Asia and the Americas - crazy right!?!

In 2021 alone, I reached a staggering 550,527 page views, reaching to 210,157 users - these numbers I grabbed from my Google Analytics - making 2021 probably one my of best years to date, and in 2022, I'm looking to top it! The question is.. How can I achieve more and be more productive and more successful? Listed below are some of the ways I'm going to be more productive this year, and hopefully achieve another successful year for my lifestyle blog, and hopefully some advice you can also take on board to grow your own blogs.

productivity quote

- Start Using A Daily Diary -
To be a more productive and organised blogger, you simply need to plan well. This year, I've started to use a daily diary in order for me to keep track of certain tasks I need to complete, emails/invoices I need to send, blog posts I need to write, and being able to plan my week ahead to use my time wisely. Most diaries will have a number of extra pages you can use for note taking and planning ideas - this will help you visually remember any blog posts you wish to write in the future, any brands you hope to work with, and you can also make a note of any goals or targets you wish to reach for the year ahead. You could also use a diary to keep track of your blog's growth over the year, and to track your progress of page views, followers etc.

- Create To-Do Lists -
It's simply impossible to keep up with everything you're thinking about and all of your ideas that are inside your head. The best thing you can do it to write it all down so you can have it all as a visual reminder in front of you. One of the most practical and important reasons that you should start to use a to-do list is that it will help you stay well organised. When you have written all your daily jobs and tasks in a simple list, they seem more achievable and manageable. When you can see a clear outline of what you've got to do for each day or each week, and are able to tick off once you've completed, it helps you stay focused, motivated and on-top of your work. Making to-do lists are an easy, stress-free and effective way of keeping up-to-date with certain tasks and things you need to do throughout your day. As a blogger, this could include things such as sending emails, taking photographs, writing up blog posts and creating invoices, to name a few.

blogging

- Update Your Media Kit Regularly -
For those who don't currently use a media kit, it can definitely be worth taking a look online to see what you need to include and browsing some media kit templates to give you some inspiration for your own. A media kit gives you the opportunity to showcase your blog and present yourself exactly as you want to be seen -  it is simply a digital-based, online portfolio that informs your potential partners, sponsors and clients everything they need to know. You are able to give a brief overview of your blog, about you as a person, the content you write about, and any other information you believe to be relevant - this could typically include recent blog statistics, demographics, social media platforms you use, services you offer with relevant fees and some of the previous brands you have collaborated with. All of these features can allow a brand to gain an in-depth overview of you, your website and what you have to offer in just a few clicks, so it's important to make sure you update this regularly and all information included is correct and up-to-date, for example - DA score, follower count, email address and fees for collaborations.

- Break Bigger Goals into Smaller Goals -
So, you may have set yourself some blog goals for the year ahead, and they may look slightly overwhelming to start with. Maybe you want to earn £10,000 for the year, you want to gain 5,000 new followers or you want to write 200 new blog posts for that year. If you look at them like this, it can be very stressful and cause a lot of anxiety for you, especially if you're working non-stop trying to make this happen. To make things look that little bit more manageable and achievable, why not break these big goals into smaller goals? Instead of looking at your full years overview of your blogging goals, it may be wiser to break these down into weekly or monthly targets - for example, if you are looking to make £10,000 from your blog in 2022, why not break this down to around £800 a month, 200 blog posts a year, it could be around 16 per month - looks much less scary!

emails

- Avoid Distractions -
On how many occasions do you go to sit down and begin writing a new blog post but manage to get distracted by your social media accounts, phone notifications etc. If you're running your blog or working from the comfort of your own home, there are endless distractions that surround you and your working space. Your mobile phone, TV, pets, children, emails from your favourite fashion or beauty brands - the list is simply endless. As a blogger, it's probably a useful tip of knowing how to try and avoid these distractions, as this will most probably allow you to achieve your goals and become more successful at a faster rate than you otherwise would. Here are a few examples of things you can implement to help you avoid distractions whilst blogging/working;
  • Set up a tidy, clutter free working environment
  • Use your diary and to-do lists to ensure you complete all tasks
  • Switch off your phone and log out of any social media websites
  • Work using time frames or set a timer to carry out certain tasks to help avoid distractions and increase your productivity levels
- Keep On Top Of Emails and Admin -
Finally, the dreaded emails and admin tasks that are always left until later or tomorrow. Get them done today! Managing to stay on top of your emails/admin jobs can be extremely overwhelming and time-consuming - especially as a blogger as you could be getting multiple emails through daily regarding things such as collaborations, payments and invoices. In order to keep on top of this, there are a number of things you can do. For example;
  • set aside some time each week to go through your all of your emails and respond to them
  • empty your junk folder and deleted emails regularly to avoid them piling up
  • group your emails in folders for easy access
  • update your admin files daily/weekly - e.g. spreadsheets for your blogging income, followers total and your weekly plan for your blog
  • make templates for specific emails you send as this can save you time - brand pitches, media kit emails, invoices etc
How successful was your blog in 2021? What other ways are you going to be more organised and productive this year?

Looking for some simple ways to improve your written content and have better blog posts? This post is perfect for you, as I'll be sharing some practical tips you can use in your writing that have helped me in expanding my site and its contents over the last few months in particular.

Millions of blog posts are written every single day and it can be extremely difficult to make sure yours are getting the right attention, outreach and engagement they truly deserve. Well-written, quality contents and articles will help you to stand out among the thousands of other blogs within the same niche as yours, and help to bring your readers back to your site time and time again. By applying some simple content writing ideas and tips to your own work, you can make your articles message more appealing to a wider audience. Let's discuss 10 content writing tips to use to improve your blog posts.

PLANNING TIPS

Quality or Quantity?
It's a vital content writing tip to ensure you maintain a good balance between blog post quality and quantity, but the question is - is the quantity or quality of blog posts published on your site more important? This is definitely a hard question to specifically choose a right answer. For me, your content needs to be consistent first above anything all else. Consistency is a crucial factor for both quality and quantity.

In terms of quality, you want your blog posts to be worded, written and made visually engaging. You want your blog posts to follow the same style and layout, make sure they are informative and relatable, and remain relevant to your article topic. Similarly, consistency and quantity also go hand in hand. Having a consistent publishing schedule - whether that's once a month, twice a week or three times a day, this allows people to view your website and be able to get new content as soon as it's live.

Research and Plan
A huge part of planning and writing for a successful blog post is researching your chosen topic. Depending on your blogs theme or niche, you need to make your posts highly relevant and engaging to ensure your readers will take a look. Research helps you refine your initial post ideas to make sure that your creating engaging, relatable and relevant blog posts, targeted towards your niche and your audience.

Consider Word Count
Although your blog post and word count length may vary depending on your chosen topic and audience, this is something to consider when writing up your work for publishing. By beginning to start writing longer amounts of content in your blog posts, this helps your content rank higher online and gives search engines more to look through, as well as helping boost your websites SEO.

Include Visual Pieces
Visual content, whether that be images, gifs or videos, is generally much more engaging than paragraphs of text on your websites. "Research shows that 90 percent of the information transmitted to the human brain is visual, and people process visual information 60,000 times faster than text."  Including visual pieces in your articles will not only make your post better readable by breaking up larger sections of text but may also reduce the reading time - helpful for those who don't have enough spare time to engage in a longer text article

PLANNING TIPS

Create Evergreen Content
You may be wondering, what is evergreen content? Well to put it simply, evergreen content is content that remains relevant regardless of when you publish it. Evergreen styled content is informative and useful content that is engaging at anytime, and remains relevant to readers over a long period of time. This type of content constantly consists of and revolves around topics that'll be always relatable and offers a constant level of sustained interest. The ultimate goal of using evergreen content on your blog is to drive traffic to your site on a long-term basis.

Titles are Important
When you begin writing a new blog post, creating an intriguing and engage title is an important job. The title is the usually the first piece of your article that your readers will look at, so it's important to make it stand out and hope to grab their attention. You want to create a title that will persuade the reader to click and make them want to know more about your newly published content. I would generally keep my titles short and sweet, but making sure they are to the point and conveying the message I want to put out there. Make sure to include any keywords that may allow you to rank higher on search engines. I also like to use numbered lists when writing - for examples "5 ways to..." or "3 benefits of..." - including these in your title makes your content sound beneficial to read and informative.

Article Layout
Another useful tip to consider is the full design and layout of your blog posts. You want to make sure each and every one of your posts follows the same format to show consistency and professionalism. You will be able to boost your content on the readability scale by incorporating or using headings, bullets and lists where possible to make your content or posts easier to scan - instead of continuous paragraphs of text.

Include Links to Relevant Posts
When I begin thinking of new ideas or writing new posts, I always look back at similar content that I have previously published and will be able to link in my new articles. Not only is linking other blog posts good for your website, it's also good for your readers who might be interested in similar content and can easily click through to read more. By including relevant links, this makes browsing so much easier to direct readers from one page to another in just a few clicks. It can also help older articles to get seen easily and increase the page views of these posts.

Proof Read, Edit and Preview
A first draft of a new blog post is probably not going to be your best work. Before publishing any new posts to your site it's important to check and double check your content to make sure there are no errors or mistakes. You'll also want to read through your content to understand your writing style much better, and make sure it's appealing for your own readers, so they don't get bored and click off your content. Spelling mistakes, layout issues and wrong URL links are simple little things that can be looked past when publishing new posts, but it's something worth checking before hitting that publish button. Having well-written, grammatically correct blog posts will want your readers to continue viewing your posts, as they will be able to see that time and care has been taken whilst writing to make sure the articles that are published are understandable.

What tips do you have to write a great blog post? Do you already use any of the tips listed above?

Think blogging is just a hobby? Think again! Blogging might start as just a part-time side hobby, but it can actually become another good income source for you once you know the ways in which you can monetise your website and put them in place. We all know that you probably won't be making hundreds overnight, especially if you're a new blogger and this idea is something new to you, over time the money can slowly add up and you will start earning a little extra cash from your online ventures.

However, with enough patience and dedication to build traffic to your website, grow your social media following and networking with the right people, you'll be starting your journey to blog monetisation before you know it and will be on your way to having a money-making blog in no time. Let's take a look at ways you can make money from your blog in 2021.

GIRL WORKING ON LAPTOP

Blogging Assignments via Paid Blogging Platforms
One of the main ways you can make money from your blog is by finding online platforms that offer paid blogging assignments opportunities. This is an extremely quick and easy way for bloggers to find money making jobs online that are targeted towards their niche and are suitable for their website. These blogging platforms help connect bloggers and brands together, allowing them to collaborate on different jobs and assignments. Many websites differentiate payment amounts depending on your websites Domain Authority or DA. Domain Authority is simply a search engine ranking score and can be based on a number of factors including age of website, internal/external links, and ranking keywords, to name a few. Your DA score can be between 1 and 100, and usually the higher the DA, the higher the payment.

Recently, I've had the opportunity to find a number of sponsored jobs via websites like Intellifluence and Get Blogged. These types of websites offer a number of blogging jobs over many different topics. To begin collaborating with this blogging platforms, you simple will need to set up and complete your own blogger profile and then you will be matched or can start applying for the many opportunities that they offer online. To apply for these, the brand will outline a specific brief for the assignment and you will be able to submit your own pitch, notifying the brand that you're interested in applying for the opportunity and you can share how you would like to work with them.

Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is something I'm yet to delve into, but it's definitely something I'm looking to explore further and research into as another income stream for my blog. The general idea of affiliate marketing is promoting an affiliate program or network or other people’s services/products in return for a commission from each click or sale. For bloggers, that means you would find a service/product that you like, promote it via your blog or social media platforms to your readers, and earn part of the profit on each sale that is made via your affiliate link. To begin implementing affiliate marketing on your blogs website, you will obviously be including your affiliate links into new and previously published blog posts, adding banners into your blog's layout, and even using pop-up advertising. Websites such as AWIN are a great starting point when looking at affiliate marketing as they have built a global network connecting customers with brands in over 180 countries.

Sponsored Guest Posts and Campaign Work
As a lifestyle blogger, I have been extremely fortunate to be able to work with a number of brands, agencies and PR's on a number of paid opportunities. Whether you pitch your own ideas to brands or they come directly to you, having collaborations on sponsored posts, guest posts or campaigns are a great way to earn some money from your website. From past experience, this type of work can often lead into something more long-term opportunities as you build up better relationships with the companies/clients you work with, and you an often find yourself with repeat work time and time gain. I've worked with a number of agencies who have suppled me a number of guest post articles for me to publish on my blog featuring client links.

Link Insertion Opportunities
Probably one of the quickest ways that I've begun to make money on my blog is  via link insertions into older blog posts. Link insertion is a simple process in which a brand will contact you and pay you for adding a specific website's relevant links to your own existing content of your blog. Another way link insertion opportunities work is via PRs and Blogger Outreach Agencies who will contact you directly to include a client in an upcoming blog post. For this style of work, you are usually supplied with the clients URL and the relevant anchor text that they wish to use. After this, you are then able to create a new blog post featuring the given details from the client.

Google AdSense
Another income stream you can use to help monetise your blog is by using Google AdSense. Google AdSense works by choosing relevant, targeted adverts to your site based on your blogs content and visitor interests or history. Google will pay you a small amount of money for every click or impression on the specific ads you'll display on your website. These ads are customisable to your site, and usually optimized to the recommended sizes to make them more visible, more engaging and to give them more chance to be seen on your page and clicked on.

FINANCE BLOGS

Prior to this blog post, I asked some fellow bloggers the following question regarding all things money.

 - What is your biggest tip for those wanting to increase earnings of their blog? -

Kayleigh Zara - "Find yourself a number of reliable PR contacts so that you constantly have enough work if and when you need it. Blogging platforms won't always necessarily provide you with enough work to be a full time blogger, and can sometimes pay you way way way less than the going rate. Also, platforms have very dodgy rules on disclosures and you could get a Google penalisation if not careful. Also learn not to undercharge for your work - it's better to say no to a brand and a stupid price than it is to work for way less than you're worth."

Shyla - "My number one tip is to stay consistent and focus on creating quality content on a regular basis. The better quality, length, and purpose of the content the more likely someone will want to purchase something from it via affiliate links. Outreach to companies via pitches can also help open new doors for your blog as well."

Sophie - "My biggest tip would probably be making sure to be extremely patient! It can take a while to build up your earnings, and part of that is learning skills like how to write pitches, and how to use affiliate marketing successfully (something I have not got my head around yet!) Also, read e-books, blogs and learn from people who know what they are doing and have successfully monetized their blogs."

GUEST POST | Did you know that 3.2 million people started blogging in the US in 2020? Now, more than ever, blogging has become a highly competitive industry. As a full-time blogger, I’ve made it my goal to share all my tips and tricks on how to make money as a beginner. So, if you’re starting your blogging journey or looking for ways to boost your income, this is a post for you!

There are so many routes you can make money as a blogger currently. It’s okay to create a blog with the intention of making money, you just need to consider that you might not make money from day 1. So let’s get started with the 5 things you need to have a money-making blog.

BLOGGING LAPTOP

An Understanding Of SEO
SEO or search engine optimisation is something you need to understand if you want to make money as a blogger. Having SEO friendly posts will help you rank higher on google (potentially even on the first page) and will bring you lots of traffic. The perk of having SEO friendly posts is that people will actively searching for the content you’re creating and can help you make more affiliate or product sales. If you want to understand more about SEO head over to The 5 Most Popular Google Advanced Search Operators

Your Own Domain
Unfortunately, many brands won’t work with you if you don’t own your domain, this is because if you don’t own your domain, you don’t have a domain authority score. Buying a domain does cost a little bit of money, but it will help you make money. It looks more professional and it gives you the option to pick a website name you love!

A Mailing List
In 2021, having a mailing list is so important. The money really is in the list. You can set up a mailing list for your blog through multiple sites but I personally use ConvertKit for its automation feature. Which allows me to schedule emails in advance for any day at any hour. There are many ways to make money with your mailing list, this could be through sharing affiliate links, product links or sponsored emails. If you want to grow your mailing list head over to 30 Email Opt-In Incentives To Grow A Mailing List In 2021

A Well-Designed Blog
Now, this might be a silly one but you really do need to have a well-designed blog and header. You’re going to want to have a noticeable ‘work with me page’ so that PRs are able to easily find the relevant details to work with you. You might even want to have a page dedicated to your media kit. The easier your blog is to navigate, the better. I’ve always heard many PRs say they will simply go to another blog if they can’t find your details to work with you. PRs won’t spend hours looking for the relevant details, you need to have it clearly displayed.

Affiliate Marketing Knowledge
Affiliate marketing is so important to learn as a blogger. It’s a tool that can help you make lots of money over time. Affiliate marketing is something any blog niche can learn and be successful with. It’s important to remember not to fill your blog with affiliate links, you need to have content that is of value you to reader as well. You shouldn’t promote products or services you don’t’ personally use. You don’t want to lose your user’s trust.

The affiliate marketing process is pretty easy and often looks like this:
· Find products you want to promote
· Sign up to their affiliate marketing program to get a unique link and banners to use
· You add the links and/or banners in your blog
· When someone clicks on the links, they are redirected to the website of the provider
· When they make a purchase, you get the agreed commission/ money!

If you want to learn more about affiliate marketing, head over to my A Big Money Month: My May Income Report to see how I regularly make money from affiliate marketing. These tips have helped me become a full-time blogger, and hopefully they’ll help you make money too.

Lifestyle blogs are probably one of the most popular types of blogs you will find on the internet these days, and many bloggers/influencers are expanding their niches and building content on a more lifestyle-based theme, in order to grow their websites. The content featured on lifestyle blogs can be extremely versatile, as you can choose from a wide range of topics to feature and post articles on, which can help attract a large amount of readers.

With my own lifestyle based blog, I like to create content on a variety of topics, and I regularly post on topics such as beauty, home, fashion, business and finance, and travel, to name a few. I feel that with having such a broad amount of topics, it can help you gain a wider audience, as well as keep your site up-to-date with current affairs, and keep it relevant and engaging for your audience. Throughout 2020 and so far in 2021, I have been putting a lot more time and effort into growing my lifestyle blog. I was placed on furlough from my regular job on and off until April this year, so this left me with much more time on my hands and I decided that it would be a good decision to go more full-time into my blog and expand my content further.

GIRL ON LAPTOP

Probably one of the main factors that has helped me to grow my lifestyle blog throughout lockdown has been increasing/expanding my content and starting to write about a number of newer topics to feature on my website. For example, I have now begun to include articles themed with subjects such as relationships, business and finance, and home and interiors. Not only have I focused on my written content, but I have also focused on the visual content of my website. To help improve my website further, I have also been working extremely hard on the overall appearance of my blog, including changing the theme and design, format and layout of my blog posts. I've opted for quite a bold and eye-catching theme, with quite a minimalist layout, to keep my website looking as clean as possible.

Over the last year and a half, I've been extremely lucky to form and maintain some great relationships with agencies, PR's and brands, which has helped me to expand the success of my lifestyle blog. I've recently worked on an increased amount of sponsored posts and collaborations, which has allowed me to begin to monetise my website and start to earn a second income alongside my main job. There are so may different ways you can start making money with your blog, from affiliate links, link insertions, campaigns, and sponsored/collaborative posts, you just need to find which works best for you. I've also signed up to a number of blogger/influencer websites that can help you seek paid work and assignments, which has also allowed me to work on a number of campaigns and collaborations on a number of different topics, that I may not have written about and published previously.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media plays a huge role in the growth of your blog, from gaining increased page views to getting new followers and readers. Throughout the lockdown period, I've been lucky to interact and converse with a number of bloggers and influencers, that have also helped me to develop and grow my lifestyle blog. By sharing blog posts and articles online, this allows you to target and reach a larger audience from all over the world, getting your content seen by people you may not even know. This is something that makes sharing your work online is absolutely incredible.

From my own personal experience, the social media sites that helped me to generate the most readers/traffic to blogs include Facebook, Twitter, Bloglovin', Pinterest and LinkedIn. Once you start getting views from social media sites/organic searching, you’ll be able to analyse the traffic, I use Google Analytics to determine what your readers like, where your site is getting viewed from and what type of content is the most popular on your lifestyle blog. This helps you to plan ahead and schedule new content for the future, as well as produce articles that you know are going to be suited and popular with your audience.

What are your favourite lifestyle blogs? What are your favourite topics to read about?

AD| Blogging and influencer marketing has become extremely popular over the last few years, and has become increasingly prevalent during the recent coronavirus pandemic. Having your own blog and space on the internet, whether that's as a hobby, part-time or full time job can be extremely rewarding in a number of ways. In terms of my own success, whilst I have been furloughed, I've used this time to really put some more time and effort into my site, and have recently began to make a small income from a variety of opportunities via brands/websites/PR's.

But for some people who are newer to blogging or brand work, it can be a little confusing and daunting as to how exactly brands and bloggers can work together through collaborations and sponsorships. As a lifestyle blogger, I don't particularly focus on one topic on my blog, I simply prefer to write content about a variety of subjects of which I'm interested and passionate about. I know from my experience as a lifestyle blogger, I've had some extremely successful opportunities recently revolving around a number of topics, and have been able to form relationships with brands who I have been able to work alongside on multiple occasions.

GIFTED ITEMS AND PRODUCT REVIEWS
One of the most common ways brands and blogger work together is via sending products out in exchange for a review. This could be for new launches, new collections or just to gain some exposure of the brands/products involved. Bloggers will be able to test the products gifted to them and follow this up by writing an honest, in-depth review. These reviews are usually accompanied by photography, URL links back to the brand’s website and honest opinions for their audience to view/read about.

SPONSORED CONTENT
Something that I have begun finding out more about is sponsored posts and content via brands. Many brands/PR's reach out to lifestyle bloggers for a number of collaborations or sponsored opportunities. This type of work usually consists of paying a blogger to host a pre-written sponsored blog post or asking them to write an article featuring their brand/products.

Get Blogged is a brilliant blogger outreach website with various blogging assignments that connects a variety of brands with bloggers across a range of niches, including beauty, lifestyle and business to name a few. Depending on your blogs Domain Authority, it's also a great solution for bloggers wanting to begin monetising their blogs, and for brands wanting to outsource their outreach in a cost effective way. The Get Blogged Marketplace can help brands achieve their goals faster by placing assignment opportunities, and asking bloggers to submit idea proposals based on the brief provided. I've had a really positive experience via Marketplace, and have managed to get a variety of collaborations through this.

LINK INSERTIONS
Another way brands can work with lifestyle bloggers is through link insertions for new or pre-existing content on your blogs. This sponsorship style usually involves the brand or blogger pitching or suggesting a pre-existing post/new relevant content ideas on your blog that is related to subject of collaboration, to make sure that would be a good fit.

FIVE LIFESTYLE BLOGGERS WORTH FOLLOWING

Kayleigh Zara - A blogger I have recently found over the last few months during the current lockdown. Some of my favourite posts from her blog include blogging tips and income reports, as well as her e-books that she has to offer.

Olivia Jade @ Dungarees and Donuts - Olivia's blog is one I have followed pretty much since I began blogging. Always featuring relevant and engaging content on a variety of subjects, making it a great all-round lifestyle blog to follow.

Hayley @ HaySparkle - Another blogger who I have been following for a while now and whose content is incredible. Hayley has a gorgeous food and lifestyle blog that needs to be on your reading list ASAP.

Life of Luce -  A newer blog that I've recently been loving. A blog heavily focusing on beauty, fashion and lifestyle topics. I really love the fashion outfit posts and styling tips.

Reinventing Neesha - Another blog that I managed to come across during the current global pandemic. This blog is great for those who are looking for advice on blogging, money-saving and money making.

What are your favourite lifestyle blogs? How have you been working with brands recently?

AD - GIFTED | When it comes to blogging, everyone has their own setup and things that they need to help them plan and write up there ideas, so here's a little insight into mine. I was recently contacted by Viking Direct, who offered me the chance to select some items from there online store and share with you all, and for this I decided to pick a few things that I would consider "Blogging Essentials". Viking is a leading supplier of office supplies, including everything from stationery and ink cartridges to office furniture.

So when it comes to blogging, the two main things that I need are my Laptop and my iPhone. Without these, my blog wouldn't even exist! I use my Laptop to write my blog posts, adjust my blog design, and just for any admin or research that I need to do for my blog! However, I'm pretty sure most of my time is spent on my iPhone. With the internet available in just a few clicks, social media at your fingertips and interaction with other bloggers so easy, this is something I use everyday and is a definite essential for me! I also sometimes use the Blogger App, which allows me to write down any ideas for posts, upload photos from my phone and even publish posts! How useful!

So when it came to deciding what I wanted to include, I had a very hard decision; Viking offers so much that I was spoilt for choice. Firstly I decided on this super cute A5 Floral Notepad*. I just love the lovely, colourful floral design on this! It's a perfect little notepad to scribble down any blog post ideas or shopping lists, and the perfect size to carry in your handbags for when you're on the go! And obviously if you have a notepad, you're obviously going to need something to write with, so I opted for the Stabilo 10 Pack Assorted Fineliners*, lots of pretty colours to get all your new, creative ideas down on paper! I also found them super comfortable and easy to grip onto, and no smudging!

Next up I have the Wooden Pen Holder*, which I obviously use to store the fineliners, just to keep myself that little bit more organised! I also use this to store pencils, a pair of scissors, my small desktop tripod and my camera USB lead, so this came in very useful! Another handy little item to have are the colourful Sticky Notes*, to make sure you don't forget any ideas or deadlines, or even to write down some of those products that you see on other peoples blogs/videos, that you want to research a little bit more or purchase!

Last but not least, I opted for a little treat for myself. A treat in the form of Cadburys Hot Chocolate*. How sneaky of me! But come on, having a lovely hot chocolate whilst blogging is just perfect! The best way to relax and let your creative juices flow!

Have you heard of Viking Direct before? What are your Blogging Essentials?
