AD| Worldwide lockdown situations have seen countries around the world implementing measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus, and to help kickstart some form of normality back into everyday life. Quarantine has us staying at home and watching the world go by, but that doesn't mean your love life has to come to a stop whilst the whole world has.

coronavirus lockdown

For couples lockdowned together, it can be quite hard to carry on living as normal when you're with your partner constantly, or if you're relationship is long distance, this can also prove problematic and hard to cope with. The key to this being communication. It's one of the most important parts for a good relationship, and it's needed more than ever during these uncertain times.

Something that can really help living together during this time is both quality time together and apart. Everyone needs their own space from time to time, and living together during a lockdown can be very hard and sometimes you just need to take yourself away from the situation and have some down time, even if it's just for an hour or two! Similarly, quality time together is also needed so you can catch up and feel connected with your partner. Maybe plan an at home dinner date, have a movie night, or even a pamper session together.

coronavirus couple

For singles in lockdown, trying to keep your love life on track can prove quite tough living life by yourself and feeling quite lonely. Dating sites likes Tinder, Bumble and matchmehappy.co.uk, to name a few, have been extremely popular during the COVID-19 lockdown. The free dating sites uk have been very helpful for singles to venture out and meet new people from the comfort of their own homes, so they don't feel like they are missing out on anything. Many dating apps have been installing video calling services so you can feel close to who you're talking to, but from the comfort of your own home. Think of it as dating in real life, without the awkward first date and less pressure, as you can feel relaxed and comfortable from your own surroundings.

However, during this global pandemic, singles and couples may be struggling with isolated life, so there are many ways to help battle this during lockdown. Communication with family and friends can really lift your spirits, and can allow you to stay connected with your loved ones, so it feels like you aren't missing out on anything at all, whilst staying lockdowned at home.

If you feel like you need a break from everything and need to relax, disconnecting from social media for a day or two can be really good for your health. You have the chance to forget about everything that is currently happening and spend more time focusing on you. Practicing self care is really important. Whether you take up an existing hobby, learn something new, or just pamper yourself, these can really help you feel normal in a not so normal world currently.

How has dating and your love life hanged during the coronavirus lockdown?

AD| The COVID-19 outbreak has completely changed and dramatically complicated the dating game for the foreseeable future. If you’re single and dating, you’re no doubt facing special challenges during the current crisis when it comes to starting new relationships. Dating during these times has gone online and dating apps or websites have made it easier than ever for singles to get 'out' there and meet new people. Social distancing doesn’t have to mean disconnecting. Video chats are in. Small talk is out.

social distancing

As we see the UK and other countries easing out of lockdown, and slowly bringing about changes to the current social distancing measure put in place by the government. These measures allow you to meet others new people out in public whilst adhering to the rules. As there currently isn't any go ahead for going into other peoples homes and being more intimate with partners or new lovers, casual outdoor dates maybe the best option during the current coronavirus pandemic. From picnics in the local park, bike rides in the countryside and sunset beach walks to name a few, there is a never ending list of spontaneous yet romantic ideas for a socially distant outdoors date.

With social media growing faster than ever, single people are turning to dating apps for social connection and to find ways to continue to date during the current global crisis. Dating apps and free dating sites have been seeing staggering amounts of users registering more than ever during the lockdown phases. From Tinder, to Bumble, we love dates, and Hinge, to name a few, becoming more popular, these platforms have given people the chance to connect with people from all around the world, as well as their local area.

online dating coronavirus

Dating sites and apps are increasingly helping long distance couples to 'meet' safely via video calling or voice calling, helping you to grow closer and connect more with your partner. Couples are now more likely to form a relationship through online, where they can talk and virtually 'hang out' at any time and any place. With the coronavirus lockdowns, many single people now have more time to spend really getting to know someone on a more deeper level, rather than just focusing on what they look like in real life.

The idea of virtual dates can really help bring new couples closer together and help form a more emotional bond, instead of a physical one. Whether you order the same takeaway or cook the same new recipe from the comfort of your own homes. Netflix and Chill? Why not! You can video call each other, watch the same Netflix show from your own homes and have a relaxing, comfortable night in knowing that you're both doing the same thing. If that's not really your vibe, there are plenty of other virtual date ideas to choose from and you can get as creative as you like. There's definitely less pressure when using dating sites, especially for those who get nervous easily or feel self conscious, as these methods of dating allow you to feel relaxed in your own home and allow you to be yourself, whilst talking to potential love interests.

How has dating during coronavirus changed for you? What other changes can we see?

GUEST POST | Everyone is more acutely aware of their well-being today. The coronavirus set society on a high alert, and now people are watchful for any signs, symptoms, and causes of illness. Of course, illness does not predictably roll around and doesn’t necessarily abide by a schedule. Often, sickness can seem to come down to little more than a harsh bout of bad luck.

There are many prevention methods to employ, but over a lifetime, everyone is bound to get ill at one stage or another. Still, a degree of preparation work can help with illness. If you take the right steps, health problems may be less debilitating and dismissed much sooner. Here are some tips to help you prepare for unexpected health problems.

sickness

Stock up Proportionately
The prospect of illness can drive many people into a fretful frenzy. For example, they may seek to buy more medicines than they feasibly need. The coronavirus spurred people to buy more goods, and the pandemic is yet to be fully conquered. Therefore, it’s important to be mindful. While having more drugs in the house might seem like a good idea at first, it can make things harder for you. Your spending might unnecessarily skyrocket when the cost of living is high enough already. Moreover, your cupboards may become overcrowded and disorganised with different pills you may or may not need.

Try to have enough medications at home so that you are covered if illness strikes at highly inconvenient times, such as in the middle of the night. Don’t buy enough that you think could set you up for life, but just for little blips of ailments in your usual routine. Once that rocky period of unexpected illness has subsided, you can then head to the doctor or your pharmacy the next day to buy more (but still a proportionate amount) of what you need. Stock up on more than medicines too. Hand sanitisers, cleaning disinfectants, and healthy food and drink ranges can make a positive difference when an illness is floating around.

Review Insurance Arrangements
Illness might be unexpected, but your response to it shouldn’t be. Insurance coverage can determine how fast you can respond to sickness. It’s worth regularly reviewing your circumstances here. For example, Circle Health Group provide a wealth of information and resources on private health insurance. They explain that if you need a specialist for treatment, you can activate your private health cover and then use it to pay for treatment at one of their private hospitals. Read their simple three-step process of speaking to your GP, calling their appointments' advisor line, and speaking to your insurer for more assurances and information.

Knowing that you have private insurance can be an enormous comfort. Of course, not everybody can afford the full range of benefits, but you can tinker with what you’d like covered so that it aligns with your budget. Your workplace may also have policies that cover you. Make some enquiries, get clued in, and see what type of private healthcare you might be eligible for.

SICKNESS

It’s important to remain informed across all aspects of your health. Building your knowledge means you streamline your preventative measures and tailor your countermeasures. Coronavirus isn’t over yet. While the consensus indicates the worst is probably over, covid continues to evolve and develop numerous strains that affect each sufferer differently. Consequently, it’s important to be mindful of things such as this and not underestimate coronavirus just because it appears to be in the news a little less.

Of course, balance is required here. If you worry too much, you may start to develop hypochondriac qualities. Be cautious and informed rather than anxious and hysterical, and you’ll be in a better position to judge which health-related measures are appropriate in your life. Ensure that you source all of your information from reputable outlets, too. Peer-reviewed resources from medical journals will suit your purposes, as will the NHS website and some reports from credible mainstream media outlets. Conduct some wider reading without consuming misinformation.

Build a Support Network
Pride mustn’t get in the way when it comes to potential illness. A support network is required to ensure you get through these moments as quickly and cleanly as possible. Remember, your loved ones are well positioned to notice any change in your behaviour that might indicate illness. Additionally, they may be willing to stop by when you’re sick and help take care of you. Their attentiveness and affection for you can make a huge difference not only to your physical well-being, but your overall morale too.

You mustn’t just have one person in mind when receiving help. After all, it’s important to be considerate of other people’s time and mindful that everyone is leading their own lives. Try to make life easier for anyone who might help you when you’re ill. Doctor’s contact numbers, draft a proposed schedule, and think about ways you can make requests specific and clear. Share your feelings and gratitude, and state your intentions to return favours when you’re better.

AD| At this current time in global affairs, dating is something that has been continuously tricky throughout 2020. Lockdown after lockdown, closures of shops, pubs and restaurants, and also having many different rules put in place, it's definitely been hard for single people to meet new potential love interests in real life. 2020 is definitely the year where dating went online, and will be something that is continued for the foreseeable future until the world gets back to normal again.

However with lockdown being recently lifted, many areas of retail and hospitality have began opening up again, including restaurants, non-essential shops/shopping centres, pubs and leisure facilities, allowing dating during the coronavirus pandemic to return to some kind of normality. It also gives us the freedom to explore more of places nearby, get some fresh air and try to live life as normally as possible, all whilst social distancing and taking necessary safety precautions.

coronavirus face masks

For me, I've definitely been able to get out the house and explore more of my local, surrounding area. Living in London is great as there is always so much going on, so many places to visit, you can never get bored! But during the recent few months, I've spent time exploring areas just outside of London, including places such as Kent and Surrey that are nearby. I've learnt that there are a whole selection of great places and things to do in Kent/Surrey, that they would make really cool, interesting date locations for future dates, and places that I would definitely visit.

Shopping in Kent
Date location 1 - If you're planning to spend the whole day together, Bluewater Shopping Centre could be a great location for a daytime date for the ultimate shopping and leisure experience. There's so much going on there, from shopping, eating out, watching a film in the IMAX cinema or even a visit to the trampoline park, there's definitely something to keep you entertained all day long.

Date location 2 - Another Kent dating location would be to visit the Howletts Wild Animal Park for something a little more unusual. Described as "Kent's original wildlife park, it's a unique adventure like no other!", this would be a the perfect place for a socially distanced date. You'll be able to spend time seeing all the animals that are located in the park, and even enjoy a nice picnic if the weather isn't too awful! You also have the opportunity to create some amazing memories  by choosing to take part in the exciting experiences Howletts have to offer - but this will need to be checked out beforehand due to COVID to make sure everything is ok.

social distanced dating

Exploring Outdoors in Kent
Date location 3 - 2020 has been the year of outdoor exercise, going out for walks, visiting local parks and getting some much needed fresh air. Kent is home to a large selection of beautiful outdoor spaces, including parks, gardens and beaches, you'll be spoilt for choice. Place like Westgate gardens, White Cliffs of Dover, Whitstable and Knole Park are just a few outdoor places located in Kent worth a visit. Outdoor based dates are perfect for getting to know each other without such a crowd of people surrounding you, you'll be able to talk about anything and everything, as well as seeing some spectacular scenery.

Have you been on any dates recently? What date locations would you like to visit?

AD - GIFTED | Living in joggers ATM? Me too! I've ditched the jeans in favour for joggers, sweatshirts, hoodies and leggings. Of course, loungewear is more popular and more available than ever, now that we are again being advised to spend more time at home in light of coronavirus pandemic. And, with many of us working from home or furloughed, it's important we're all as comfortable as possible during such uncertain times, as well as keeping warm during the colder months of the year. For me, loungewear is the epitome of comfort; you can still feel cute, casual and comfy, whilst looking super stylish and put together. Loungewear might be basic, but it's definitely not boring! There's so many cute styles and sets available, you'll be wanting something in every colour and your wardrobe will be filling up in no time at all!

I was recently kindly gifted some pieces from FemmeLuxe, and wanted to share some lockdown loungewear pieces with you and how I have styled them. Joggers and lounge sets are this seasons essentials, whether you dress them up or down, they are super versatile and some comfy pieces you defo need. If you're looking for a pair of new joggers or a loungewear set, you'll want to keep reading this post as you may just find what you've been after!
Loungewear Outfit Inspo
Outfit 1 - You can never go wrong with a black outfit. Black clothing is definitely my favourite to wear and this combo is the perfect 'fit for everyone. Featuring an elasticated waist with a hidden drawstring and a cuffed hem, these joggers are super comfy and flattering. I've teamed up these black oversized joggers* with a slogan sweatshirt for the perfect everyday look. I sized up in these lounge joggers, so they would be super oversized and comfy. This outfit is perfect for both inside and outside, so whether you're popping to the shops, chilling in bed watching Netflix or even doing an at home workout, this is what you need!

Grey Tie Dye Oversized Sweatshirt Loungewear Set FemmeLuxe
Outfit 2 - Is there anything cuter than a matching co-ord lounge set? If tie dye and oversized is your vibe, then you're gonna need to get your hands on this asap! This grey tie dye loungewear set* is so soft and slightly more fitted to the body, you could even wear these as a pyjama set. You could even wear this out of the house too! Simply pair with an oversized black puffer coat and some chunky trainers, and you're good to go!

Tan Cuffed Joggers FemmeLuxe
Outfit 3 - For this outfit, I kept things quite neutral and styled the outfit around similar colour tones. Nudes and browns are everywhere these days, and definitely some of the top colours of the autumn/winter season. I've teamed a simple nude sleeveless bodysuit with some tan oversized joggers*, for that casual off-duty look. To add some warmth to the outfit, I've paired it with a neutral checked shacket which are super on-trend right now, and perfect for those slightly warmer, autumnal days when you don't need a super warm coat.

Stone High Waisted Seam Cuffed Joggers FemmeLuxe
Outfit 4 - Again, another simple outfit. You can't go wrong with an oversized sweat and some joggers for the perfect WFH outfit.. On this occasion, I've gone for something slightly different. These high waisted joggers* have a seam running down them, which just adds some interested to the outfit, and helps to elongate the legs. A simple slogan sweat is a must have, and this green colour is absolutely gorgeous! Team this with a pair of slippers for at home, or a gorgeous, thick teddy coat and trainers for when you're popping out.

So whether you're looking for some WFH outfit inspo, or are simply on the hunt for some casual, comfy and super affordable loungewear, I hope this post has given you that much needed inspiration. I know I definitely want to fill my wardrobe with loads more joggers and sets. You can never have too many!

Which outfit is your favourite? Have you shopped at FemmeLuxe?

AD| While the current coronavirus restrictions continue, it means that we can’t go on traditional dates like we previously once did. However, with social distancing guidelines still in place, some dating ideas are still allowed whether that be a romantic walk, having a cute picnic in the local park or even some gaming date ideas that you can do at home. Whether you live with your partner, or you’re currently in a long-distance relationship, or even just missing your close friends, playing video games together is a fun way to have a date during lockdown.

Gaming and virtual dating can be a great and enjoyable way to bring couples/friends together and stay connected during lockdown, whether that be in real life or through playing online. Video gaming has become increasingly popular as a way to pass the time during lockdown, and below are just a few of the benefits that gaming dates can have whilst we're all staying indoors at home.

Escaping Reality
More and more people have been turning to gaming as a way of coping and dealing with the current COVID-19 lockdown. Using this in hope to take their minds off the current pandemic, having it as a distraction from chaotic day to day life and to help improve their overall mental health. Playing games with your loves ones, family or even online with others, can give you that much needed time out from real life, let your mind wander into the gaming world, and give you that escape from reality that is definitely much needed at this current time in life.

It's Fun and Enjoyable
Taking some time out of your hectic day, especially if you are working from home, can be just what you need to relax and de-stress. There are so many games out there to play and could be the perfect opportunity to indulge in some gamers dates with your friends or partners. I would probably recommend trying out some online escape room styled games, where you are required to solve a variety of puzzles in order to complete the game. These types of games encourage you to work together as a team and for everyone involved to put forward ideas in order to solves the challenges.

Meet New People Online
There is such a variety of dates for gamers, whether that be playing video games, card games or board games, there's something out there for everyone to enjoy. Gaming online also has the benefits of you being able to meet and chat with people via various online games sites who you would have never of met but have things in common with and similar interests to you. This can be very important for those who are feeling lonely during lockdown, or those who may struggle to meet or find friends in real life.

Creating Competitions
To add some excitement into daily life throughout lockdown, playing competitions and tournaments, with your loved ones at home or online can be a really fun way to spend some of your free time. Especially if you're really competitive, you could make this a regular part your weekly schedule where you play each others favourite games and play for prizes or treats. This will just to keep things super fun and uplifting during these current circumstances. One of my all time favourite games to play is definitely Mario Kart; the ultimate fun racing game to bring out your competitive side.

What other lockdown date ideas for gamers do you have? What other benefits are there from gaming?

AD| Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, many individuals have begun creating their own small businesses and opportunities to help them financially whilst struggling to survive due to job loss, reduced wages or being put on furlough. Running a small business might seem extremely easy, but did you know it can have a surprisingly big impact on the environment? Whether these businesses include selling homemade food, jewellery making, selling artwork or even offering online assistance, there are many ways to help your small business be more eco-friendly and sustainable for the future.

SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS

For those small businesses selling physical products, using eco-friendly packaging is a great way to begin making your brand more sustainable. Packaging is an important visual part of your brand experience and it's how your customers first come into contact with your products. Having sustainable packaging is important as it helps to reduce the footprint in the product's life-cycle. By making it from biodegradable or sustainable materials, you’ll leave an even better impression on those consumers who choose to shop sustainably and want to make a positive impact on the environment. Companies such as Tyler Packaging are specialist suppliers of paper and plastic flexible packaging for items such as food, pet food, garden & leisure and industrial products. They also have a 100% recyclable packaging range and a compostable packaging range, with an overall strong focus on waste manage and encouraging a circular economy.

Another way to make your small business more sustainable is to aim to go paperless when it comes to invoices, delivery notes and receipts. By having everything online, with things such as billing and paperwork, it drastically cuts down on paper waste and keeps everything virtual, meaning important documents are less likely to get lost. However, there is definitely times where we need to physically write or type things onto paper, and for this, supplying your home or office with some sustainably sourced recycled paper helps keep your business eco-friendly.

For those who's businesses are ran from home or small offices, your working environment can also be made sustainable with a few easier steps. Firstly, by reducing the amount of electricity you use is not only good for the environment, it’s also good for your bank account. Making sure to switch off any lights or equipment whilst they’re not being used, use laptops as they use less energy instead of desktops, and make sure the temperature of the room is suitable for the time of the year. Another way to make your office more sustainable is by adding some plants and greenery to help brighten up your office, as well as helping to make the air cleaner and healthier to breathe.

Finally, making sure to research suppliers for your products, whether that's cooking ingredients, clothing fabrics or other materials, you should always be on the lookout for a more sustainable option. By making sure to keep your products as ethically and sustainably sources as possible, this will help to reduce your carbon footprint and make sure you're being as environmentally friendly as possible. Consumers of products are much more aware of the items they are purchasing, and many are opting to choose brands that do their best to protect and save the environment from unnecessary harm.

What other ways can small businesses become more sustainable?

Until 2020, many of us had not even have heard of the term 'furlough' before - but due to the coronavirus pandemic, many individuals have had to stop going to work and stay home for the foreseeable future. Being placed on furlough may come as quite a shock, a lifestyle change bringing with it many anxieties and uncertainties about your future, but you shouldn't let that worry you and try to make the most out of your time out of work.

Everyone will definitely use this time off for different reasons, some choose to better themselves and learn new skills, some may take up some new hobbies or even just a time to have a total reset and switch off from work life. Whatever you choose to do shouldn't be an issue, and you shouldn't feel like you need to do better in life, as living during the current pandemic is hard enough. But here is a small list of 7 things you can do to feel productive, less stressed and motivated during your furlough period.

Cosy Bedroom Interior

1. Reach Out To Friends and Family
Speaking to others during this time is the best way to share your current feelings and thoughts, as the majority of the people around you are all in the same boat. Even if your friends/family aren't furloughed, we are all living under lockdown rules and regulations, so during these uncertain times talking with your loved ones may help calm your anxieties and help with any mental health issues you may currently be dealing. Texting, calling, facetimes or a 2020 favourite of a zoom call can help ease loneliness and isolation fears, ensuring you have some social contact, even if it is virtually online, will make you feel a lot better and will also kill some time during your time off. You never know, by reaching out to someone could be the highlight of their day and just what they needed to lift their spirits.

2. Pick Up/Start New Hobbies
Use your furlough time to fall back in love with a hobby of yours that you simply didn't have time for whilst working, or even start something new to fill the hours in your time off. This is the perfect opportunity to use your furlough period wisely and take some time out of your normal daily routine to enjoy something that you love or something you want to get into. Whether it's arts and crafts, sports, cooking or learning a new language, the opportunities are endless!

3. Declutter
We’re all stuck at home in lockdown, so now is the time to do that spring clean that you’ve been putting off for months and get rid of any clutter/rubbish that's currently in your home. The quote "tidy house, tidy mind" is very relevant here and a phrase we all know, but having a tidy living/working environment can really help channel some positivity into your daily life during these uncertain times.

4. Exercise
Exercise is super important for your overall wellbeing but also your mood and mental health. It can also help you to destress, feel less anxious, tone up and lose weight. There's so many different types of exercise you can do, and especially with the lockdown rules, going out for daily walks or working out from home has become extremely popular. Another thing you may consider looking into is browsing YouTube and finding a whole variety of workout videos and routines, suitable for all ages and abilities.

5. Learn To Cook/Bake New Things
Spending more time at home means you have additional time for things like cooking and baking. I know during my time off, I've loved experimenting with different ingredients and recipes, to help expand my culinary skills. Even if you're not so great in the kitchen, being on furlough will allow you to spend time on learning to cook, trying new foods and recipes, and just giving you that time to boost your cooking skills. Cooking something can give you something to look forward to, and gives you that sense of achievement when it turns out great. The internet is full of delicious recipes, I tend to browse the BBC Good Food sight when in need of inspiration, so if there's a particular dish or cuisine that you would like to make for yourself, the time is now!

6. Make Time For Self Care
Many of us were already feeling isolated and struggling with the lockdown, but being furloughed might have taken it to another level and cause many worries for lots of people. But it's definitely important that this doesn't affect your health and mind too much. Practising self care is definitely an essential at the moment, and even the little things can help to improve, refresh and re-focus your body/mind. I recently wrote a post about lockdown beauty hacks that may be worth a read if you're looking for something new to try during the current lockdown. Similar to this, I've also written a lot of content about pamper nights and products I would recommend when you're in the need for some relaxation.

7. Online Courses
Have you ever wanted to learn something new or improve your life/career prospects? Taking up an online course is a great way to use your furlough time productively, it allows you to study from home, helps you learn something new, and can be a beneficial addition to your CV. There are so many courses out there that I'm sure there will be one suitable for everyone. Many website also offer incredible discounts at the moment, or even some free qualifications which is perfect for those on a reduced furlough wage.

What things have you been getting up to on furlough?

AD| Has lockdown got you dreaming of your next holiday once current travel restrictions are finally lifted, but are unsure of where you want to go? UK staycations are bound to be a more popular holiday choice this year, mainly due to the travel restrictions put into place as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, as many of us are desperate to get outdoors and explore places we can for a change in scenery.

Going on holiday abroad might be the first thing on your mind once the pandemic risks decrease, but sometimes it's so easy to forget how many amazing places are in the UK. With some absolutely incredible locations to visit that are extremely accessible, affordable and breathtakingly beautiful, there is somewhere for everyone and your holiday preferences.

Cornwall has long been a popular holiday destination with many travellers, as it has some of the best beaches, dramatic cliffs and the most stunning coastlines in the entire UK. For those who like activity-based trips, Cornwall has a lot to offer from surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing, to name a few, you'll be stuck deciding which to try first! And of course, the trip wouldn't be completed without sampling the traditional Cornish pasty!

For those who enjoy real adventure and exploring nature, Snowdonia might be the perfect staycation spot for you. Located in Northwest Wales, Snowdonia is an area of outstanding natural beauty with the mixture of mountain ranges, lakes, rivers and forests, the views are just astonishing. Located in Snowdonia National Park, Mount Snowdon is this probably the most famous attraction here and is definitely well worth a visit. As well as this, Snowdonia also offers a range of other activities including ziplining, white water rafting, rock climbing and hiking, which would be perfect for those seeking an active outdoors adventure style trip.

The Scottish Highlands are known for their outstanding views, boasting beautiful landscapes and spectacular wildlife. The largest region of Scotland, the Highlands are incredibly beautiful to visit all year round, but especially during the summer months on the year as this is when you get the best weather. Top locations include Fort William and Ben Nevis, as well as Glencoe and Inverness. And finally, you can't leave the Scottish Highlands without visiting the infamous Loch Ness!

countryside landscape

England's largest national park, The Lake District is another destination worth researching for your next UK staycation. For those who love keeping fit and exploring, hiking is the number one outdoor activity here with trails for all abilities. The Lake District is also home to Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, could be worth a visit if you love a challenge to climb it, and be rewarded with such stunning views from the top.

Finally, who needs to venture abroad when you can visit Dorset, home of beautiful countryside views and an ideal staycation spot for the whole family. The coastal landscape is probably the highlight of the this county, with places like Durdle Door and Weymouth Beach ideal spots to check out. Visiting the famous spot of Durdle Door is an absolute must if you're exploring Dorset any time soon. Located on the Jurassic Coast, Durdle Door is probably the most photographed and most iconic landmarks Dorset has to offer, and will most definitely be the next feature to your Instagram grid!

Whether you are looking to plan your next family holiday, a romantic getaway or a special date to celebrate, a staycation this summer could be exactly what you need for that much needed break from reality. If you're planning a road-trip style vacation, it might be ideal to go online and get the best insurance quote for your motorbike here, or insurance for your car/caravan, and make sure to plan your journey ahead with some proper research! Not only will this save you valuable time and effort, you'll be able to enjoy your trip a lot more without any problems or added stress!

Are you planning a UK staycation? What UK destinations would you love to explore or have previously visited?

AD| Blogging and influencer marketing has become extremely popular over the last few years, and has become increasingly prevalent during the recent coronavirus pandemic. Having your own blog and space on the internet, whether that's as a hobby, part-time or full time job can be extremely rewarding in a number of ways. In terms of my own success, whilst I have been furloughed, I've used this time to really put some more time and effort into my site, and have recently began to make a small income from a variety of opportunities via brands/websites/PR's.

But for some people who are newer to blogging or brand work, it can be a little confusing and daunting as to how exactly brands and bloggers can work together through collaborations and sponsorships. As a lifestyle blogger, I don't particularly focus on one topic on my blog, I simply prefer to write content about a variety of subjects of which I'm interested and passionate about. I know from my experience as a lifestyle blogger, I've had some extremely successful opportunities recently revolving around a number of topics, and have been able to form relationships with brands who I have been able to work alongside on multiple occasions.

GIFTED ITEMS AND PRODUCT REVIEWS
One of the most common ways brands and blogger work together is via sending products out in exchange for a review. This could be for new launches, new collections or just to gain some exposure of the brands/products involved. Bloggers will be able to test the products gifted to them and follow this up by writing an honest, in-depth review. These reviews are usually accompanied by photography, URL links back to the brand’s website and honest opinions for their audience to view/read about.

SPONSORED CONTENT
Something that I have begun finding out more about is sponsored posts and content via brands. Many brands/PR's reach out to lifestyle bloggers for a number of collaborations or sponsored opportunities. This type of work usually consists of paying a blogger to host a pre-written sponsored blog post or asking them to write an article featuring their brand/products.

Get Blogged is a brilliant blogger outreach website with various blogging assignments that connects a variety of brands with bloggers across a range of niches, including beauty, lifestyle and business to name a few. Depending on your blogs Domain Authority, it's also a great solution for bloggers wanting to begin monetising their blogs, and for brands wanting to outsource their outreach in a cost effective way. The Get Blogged Marketplace can help brands achieve their goals faster by placing assignment opportunities, and asking bloggers to submit idea proposals based on the brief provided. I've had a really positive experience via Marketplace, and have managed to get a variety of collaborations through this.

LINK INSERTIONS
Another way brands can work with lifestyle bloggers is through link insertions for new or pre-existing content on your blogs. This sponsorship style usually involves the brand or blogger pitching or suggesting a pre-existing post/new relevant content ideas on your blog that is related to subject of collaboration, to make sure that would be a good fit.

Stuck at home? Me too! We're back in lockdown again, but that shouldn't stop you from taking time out of your day and do some things to help pamper and look after yourself. Self care is a must have and extremely valuable in this current climate of a global pandemic, and is definitely something to incorporate into your daily routine. Feeling isolated can really get you feeling low, unmotivated and start making you feel a little unhappy, but doing something to make you feel better, no matter how big or small, can really boost your mood and cheer you up during these uncertain times.

Here are 5 lockdown beauty hacks that I've been adding into my day to day life and are 5 things I recommend you do to!

Since we're all staying at home, one thing that is super important is letting your skin breathe. None of us are really wearing any/much make up and this gives us the opportunity to focus on our skincare goals and make some sort of routine. For me, I've made sure to really try and stick to a skincare routine, cleansing properly, exfoliating my skin and weekly face masks to keep my skin glowing throughout the colder months.

A goal of mine in 2021 is to take much better care of my hair, keep it in healthy condition, and ultimately attempt to grow it longer. Throughout the previous lockdowns, weekly hair masks have been a thing, and will continue making an appearance into my haircare routine, in a bid to keep my hair healthy, soft and shiny, even during this extreme cold weather. During the winter months, coconut oil has become my best friend. I like to use this as an overnight treatment, massaging the oil from root to tip, in order to deeply condition and nourish my hair, and simply rinse out in the morning.

Coronavirus and lockdown has us washing our hands countless times a day followed up by hand sanitiser gel, walking outdoors to get our daily exercise, but all this will definitely take a toll on your hands and fee. It's super important to take care of them also! Moisturising hand creams and cuticle oils are the perfect combination to keep your hands looking and feeling nourished. And for the feet, I've been opting for moisturising foot masks and luxurious lotions to keep my feet soft and smooth.

Another lockdown beauty hack I've been using is skin dermaplaning. This is something that I've been doing every 3-4 weeks to improve the appearance and texture of my skin. Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment that removes peach fuzz and dead skin with the tiny scrape of a scalpel. I like to make sure my skin is well moisturised before treatment to help the blade glide over my face, without causing any injury. For this, I simply use a hydrating facial oil to keep my skin lubricated throughout. I picked up my dermaplaning tools from Amazon, and have noticed a big change in health of my skin. From the very first use, my skin was definitely softer and smoother, more radiant and glowy.

Finally, body care. Body exfoliation and moisturising can be quite the chore, but with a lot more time on our hands during lockdown, it's definitely something we should consider to help lift our spirits during these times. A simple beauty hack of regular exfoliation increases the skin's radiance, clarity, and youthfulness, and that's just the start. There are so many benefits from a couple minutes scrubbing in the shower, and of course you'll be left with the silkiest, softest skin possible! Followed up by your favourite body moisturiser or lotion, and you're good to go!

What lockdown beauty hacks are you using? Will you be adding any of the beauty hacks mentioned above into your daily routine?

AD| Are you dreaming of happier and sunnier times? With the current ongoing global pandemic, things are currently looking uncertain due to coronavirus and lockdowns, but it's definitely important to plan ahead and give yourself something to hopefully look forward to. COVID-19 has changed all of our worlds completely, and not just in the short-term. One major difference we all face at the moment is restrictions on travel, and I'm sure your next European holidays and vacations will look very different for the foreseeable future. Obviously, I'm sure we aren't going to be able to jump on a plane and jet off anywhere soon, but it's nice to think about it, right?

After spending so much time at home in lockdown, I've definitely been dreaming about warmer weather and future European holiday destinations, for when the time is right, the world is more stable and in a better place. For me, Europe is definitely emerging as a go-to place for travel, not only for it's beautiful destinations, but for its accessibility and its affordability. From an array of historic landmarks and attractions, mouth-watering cuisines, spectacular views and scenery, it's definitely a continent to consider when planning your next city break or beach holiday in Europe.

◉ RHODES, GREECE ◉
I've been fortunate to visit two absolutely beautiful Greek islands over the last few years. Both Crete and Zakynthos have been such dreamy holiday locations, and has definitely given me a small insight into the idyllic and breath-taking destinations Greece has to offer. Next on my list for Greece is the gorgeous island of Rhodes; the largest of Greece’s Dodecanese islands, is known for its stunning beach resorts, historic ancient ruins and soaring mountaintops. With such a variety of scenery, Rhodes is the perfect location for those who love to get outside and explore nature.

◉ DUBROVNIK, CROATIA ◉
Dubrovnik, in the extreme south of Croatia, is known as the Pearl of the Adriatic. With such beautiful landscapes, endless beaches and a city full of history, Dubrovnik is one of the most prominent tourist resorts of the Mediterranean, and an upcoming European holiday destination for the younger generation. From visiting a variety of beach to sightseeing to museums, and shopping and extraordinary places to eat, this stunning Croatian city is definitely worth the visit.

◉ AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS ◉
A trip to Amsterdam would definitely be an unforgettable adventure. With beautiful parks and canals, a vibrant nightlife scene and various museums, Amsterdam boasts an abundance of activities and sights worth a visit. A modern city break destination full of history, art and culture, it's definitely somewhere I can't wait to visit.

◉ ISTANBUL, TURKEY ◉
No other city in the world features on two continents. Istanbul is the city where East meets West, boasting such multicultural and diverse traditions of both Europe and Asia. A city full of historic landmarks, spectacular attractions, stunning scenery and extraordinary food, it's definitely not one to miss!

◉ PAPHOS, CYPRUS ◉
Definitely one of the newest destinations on my travel bucket list, but it definitely deserves a mention. Cyprus is know to have the longest summer in Europe, and Paphos is home to gorgeous sandy beaches, making it an ideal European destination if you're after a relaxing beach holiday, and some down time to soak up the Mediterranean sun.

Travel Tips Post Pandemic ◉

Research - Before thinking of travelling abroad, it's really import to do your research and plan ahead. You will want to pick a destination that you feel safe going to and that you will feel comfortable visiting. As well as this, it's also important to research into any specific rules and guidelines that are currently ongoing to make sure you're following as safely and as necessary as possible.

Health - Obviously, it's always best to go on holiday when you're fully healthy and ready to jet off somewhere. Travelling after a global pandemic might be worrying, stressful and just a completely anxious time, so it's important to take the plunge when you're fully ready. However, those who may not be 100% fit or have suffered with COVID-19, might need some extra support for overseas travel. Travelling with oxygen may seem daunting at first, but it's a really beneficial method for making the whole travel experience as easy as possible. Whether you need an Oxygen Concentrator UK or one for out of the country, you are sure to find one that's suitable for your travel needs.

Preparation - Making lists and travel itineraries are great ways to plan and prep your next holiday. This allows you to make detailed notes of things you'll need, places you're going and also it will make you feel more at ease and less stressed.

Safety - One of the most important travel tips is safety. You will want to make sure you're planning your trips in the safest way possible, and following any specific travel guidelines that are put in place, not only for yourself, but for others around you.

What European destinations are on your future travel bucket lists? Have you visited any mentioned in today's blog post?

AD| Throughout 2020 and 2021, the modern world of dating has completed changed and has impacted the way we meet new people. Single people are connecting digitally with others and spending much more time using online dating sites to meet people with similar interests — even more so due to the coronavirus pandemic we have all experienced.

Meeting people online can be sometimes be dangerous, especially if you aren't careful and follow certain precautions, but it's definitely become more common and more normal than ever before. There are a number of ways in which you can safely begin online dating and making sure you are meeting up with genuine people. So, here are five top tips for how you can have a positive online dating experience and meet new people in a comfortable, safe way.

ONLINE DATING

If possible, it's definitely important to avoid giving out too much personal and private information when you begin talking to new people online. This could include things such as  your full name, address, phone number, email address and work/education locations. When you think about, they people you meet online are pretty much strangers, and you obviously don't want them to know too much about you, until you are happy and comfortable to open up more or answer more personal questions when you meet up face-to-face.

Take enough time to get to know the other person before agreeing to meet up in real life. Ask them questions, find out more about their character/personality and make sure they have plenty of photographs that are actually the same person. This allows you to make sure they are genuine and who they say they are. Many dating apps help with this as they install voice/video calling features, allowing you to connect with others instantly.

Meeting up in a well-known area is a key factor in dating safely, as things helps to avoid being alone with someone, somewhere you don't know. Most people will feel more confident and comfortable meeting in a place where you've been before, especially if you're feeling nervous or anxious about meeting for the first time. If possible, try to meet during the daytime, as areas will be busier and you won't have any lighting issues due to daylight. If you're both only available in the evening, choose a place that's fairly busy and filled with other individuals at the time you're planning to meet to avoid being alone and at potential risk.

Something else to consider when online dating/meeting up, is discussing your ideal relationships or what your intentions are with each other to make sure you're both on the same page, whether that's just taking things slowly, getting into a relationships or just looking for sexual activities/partners. Nowadays, many people use generic sites like Tinder or Hinge, but you can also find someone with similar interests online using specific websites and apps including sissy bdsm, sissy dating. You will obviously spend time researching the BDSM community, and make sure to use a trustworthy site if you're looking for something a little more specific. If this is what you're looking for online, then it's extremely important to know how to be safe, or not be hurt during these dating endeavours. From discussing what you like and what you don't like, making sure both parties are comfortable in any activities etc. With any sexual activity, it's important to make sure to use the correct protection, make sure you're enjoying what's going on and to feel strong enough to say no to things you don't want to do or don't feel comfortable with doing.

Probably one of the biggest safety rules you can follow is to trust your instincts. The majority of the time if you feel something is too good to be true, odd comments or behaviour, or you just feel something is off and uncomfortable, you're probably right. If you ever feel like you're not safe or you're in an uncomfortable situation, it's best to leave and get out of there as quickly as possible to avoid any potential dangers. It's always important to make sure that several people know exactly who you're with, where you're going and when to ensure if anything does happen, they can come and help you avoid any risky situations.

Have you used dating sites or apps to meet anyone new recently? What other safety tips do you have/use?
